i had same problem , fred fitted my coilovers and lowered it, 2 weeks later council put speedbumps all way out of road, i just go other way n avoid em :)
when u press brake some times does fog light on dash partially light up too
chances are the connections to back light with have got rusty and shorting other circuit
take back lights out check the connection block n clean up the pins

Cambelt needs doing by some one with a good rep though

Also get some one decent to do the cambelt, who have proven track record of working on these engines!
do a dial test, hold the stalk button in and turn ignition keys on

If you change dials i think u have to program them to milage of the car

If your Clio has this connector when you open the PVC casing (where ESP is) and in an RS you can immediately check if you have connectivity to the CPU (connect the A2-A3 --> see bottom scheme image) and when you connect A2-A3 and turn the ignition on for the SECOND...

in that link it shows u the back , tbh you should be able to make them fit, on previous cars ive used the sparco pedals that you have to drill and bolt,
the right one is a clifford alarm thign , lets u go though settings etc , duno if cobra used same buttom system though
other hole could be the old led
