Stop bumping this thread!!
Found this one on PS http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/m5/2003-bmw-m5-e39-v8-carbon-black-heritage-caramel-leather-fbmwsh-nav-comms/965883
I would prefer black interior but it's a late 2003 model, and owned by an enthusiast.
Nice pics Cro, kudos for making the trip out!
I had a little play with my X100, with my Lee filters, as the adapter arrived the other day. With my Big Stopper, I have a 13 stop ND filter!!
This was only two minutes, I couldn't be bothered to do a 16 minute exposure!
I might ditch IG, getting pretty fed up with how much s**t is on there. And how many people abuse it.
For instance, a while ago you could search for the #sunset tag, and get loads of great photos. You try that now and see what you get! Mostly 8 yr old girls doing that stupid pouting duck face...
Right, as an ex-VX220 owner, hopefully I can add so me useful input to this thread.
Simply put, a VX220 compared to most of the other cars you've listed, is hands down the best choice for me, especially if its a second car. They are epic. I had a turbo, and I only sold it as I had the chance...
The MPG does scare me a bit, but I would be doing about 5k a year, maybe a bit more, as I cycle to work. So the running costs won't bother me too much.
And I'm used to having a car with a small fuel tank, I think putting 100 quid into a car would be take a bit of getting used too!
I occasionally get a photography mag when I'm travelling (on expenses! ;)).
Tbh, most cover the same things all the time. Pretty much all of which you can find online anyway.
The best buy for me is one of those magazine book things, which covers A LOT of things, and does contain a lot of...
I was keen I assure you. The m5 was pretty high up the list to begin with, along with the e46 m3. The difference then however, I was in favour of the m3, now I prefer the m5.
Ah you've got me looking at them again! Just found a good 2003 one with 62k on the clock!
MUST WAIT!
Well when/if it comes to that time, I'll be in touch with a million questions!
We'll see.
My main worry is that my car history contains cars at the complete opposite end of the spectrum, small and light (and VERY impractical), go kart like really. An M5 is a barge in comparison, so I worry I MIGHT find it a bit boring. But with a 400bhp V8 I think as soon as I drive one...
You b*****d! I've been looking at that car on PH for ages, looks like a stunner.
If I sell the Exige, which is a possibility when I move out early next year (although I'll wait until spring to sell it), the E39 M5 is currently top of my list for a replacement car.
You have to get the Eisenmann...
