Love this little thing!
ISO800.....what noise?!
And even on the highest setting, ISO12800, it's still useable!
THAT is partly why I didn't get a basic point and shoot. Forget how many MP you have, sensor size is key.
I'm still feeling like a knob walking around with the x100 here at heathrow! Got a few shots, but I would get a lot more if I didn't give a monkeys what other people think.
Not really when you compare it to consumer level DSLRs etc which would cost at least 1k for the body alone.
I'm just about to board my first flight with it, although I think this will be one of those trips where I don't have any photographic opportunities at all. :(
Last time I searched to add apps in it, it just took me to the normal app store! Got pissed off with it, gave up.
I've even got a flight in a few hours, I tried earlier to get my boarding pass on it. Gave up again.
I tried to get boarding passes etc on it. Gave up in the end.
Either it's a peice of s**t software (which apple is pretty good at at the moment) which was rushed out, or I can't fathom how to do it.
^Cracking shot. Not sure if a bit of distortion correction might help, but that's just me ;)
Finally got myself a new toy to play with. I'm sick of lugging my huge D3 on trips (if I can even fit it on some trips), so I got myself a Fuji X100. Awesome looking bit of kit, proper retro! Looking to...
Good to hear you did the brakes.....always the best starting point.
I would consider an anti roll bar on the rear, lots of good reviews from people on here. Other than that, if you really want proper suspension, then for £1k you could get it. Other people would have to advise you though on that.
This might sound really stuck up, but I would only ever buy new camera gear. Maybe second hand accessories, but lenses and cameras (and filters) would ALWAYS be bought new.
It's been out for a while, so I assume any issues would have been sorted.
That's my only other issue, is that I'm buying...
I'm pretty much convinced I'll get the X100, I'll have to try very hard not to order one tomorrow for Saturday delivery lol!
Read lots of reviews, and all sing it's praises. Only niggles I've read are slow AF, which won't bother me too much as I'm not going to be using it for anything requiring...
I'd love to do more street photography. Trouble is, walking around with a huge SLR and massive lenses does make you look like a weirdo, and forget even pointing it anywhere near a kid!!
I just don't feel comfortable doing it. I guess you have to not give a monkeys what people think, which I...
Dust?! Really? I thought it was a fixed lens? How does dust get in?
I just want a small but not a n00by point and shoot camera that I can take anywhere. This seemed like the best camera for someone already experienced in photography.
Bit of a bump....but I'm really tempted to get one of these. Love the idea of a fixed focal length small and light camera that I can travel easily with, as opposed to the colossal D3 + 24-70mm!!
Is anyone who bought one still using it, still raving about it?
All the reviews seem to be...
But they don't even protect the main part of the car that gets all the stone chips!! That's why I don't get them.
You don't really get that many chips on that part of the car, hell even my car's 'bonnet' is lower than pretty much every other car and is still fine.
The front bumper however has...
Only just seen this thread.
Cracking pics mate, can't really fault any of them apart from the last one which seems a bit of a 'I'll take a snap here and see what it's like' shot. Doesn't really fit with the standard of the other shots, which are superb!
This is a genuine question, not trolling!:
If price wasn't a factor, why would you go for a mini over a normal ipad (4)? In what situations would you benefit from the smaller one?
I must say I have considered it. As you say, it would be a great travel companion......BUT....I don't think I would ever say that the normal ipad is too big. On planes etc getting my MBP out is sometimes a bit of a pain, but a normal ipad would be fine. PERSONALLY.....I just cannot see when I...
I haven't slated it at all. Not once have I said it's a s**t product. I've said it's a smaller ipad made with old parts.....which is a fact.
It's also a fact that Apple have made this product to fill a gap in the market, for the smaller and CHEAPER tablet products.
Granted, me saying it's for...
No we won't.
The fact remains the mini is an iPad for people who can't afford a proper one.
The Boxter of the iPad world shall we say.
(Apart possibly a few people who want a slightly smaller one for whatever reason)
