You/theyve definitely ruled out the cheap easy stuff like heatshields/front wheel bearings/cv knuckles?
Is there any other noise or handling issues?
Fingers crossed this doesnt cost too much to get sorted.
I had this. Was impatient to get it done & ended up using a Dremel... Wouldn't recommend it as it took forever! :dead:
Surely an angle grinder would be the weapon of choice?
My 1.6 has had a similar idle issue until yesterday. OBD were showing intermittent O2 sensor faults, so fitted another CAT & downstream sensor and was still the same. Was going to switch out the mani (couldn't get enough leverage in the bay to remove the sensor in mine :() with another upstream...

Mega, you going to oulton next month? I'll buy a couple if there's any going spare naith
Any silver ones btw?
Just thinking these would look immense in extremeinfernos lacquered cf bullets!!!
Aye-i had mine done for me recently on the 1.6 as no bearing press. Quick enough job by Andy at Birchdown.
You'll love it when you get it sorted and lose the annoying drone. Mine was sounding like a bloody landrover! :dead:
