Hi Meek, i noticed this on Mikes at oulton-presumably from the hairpin. I was weighing up removing mine next month to save it risking notching the tyres.
Having had a look at the cup racers the other week, they didnt seem to run any but obviously they dont run all the ancilliary wiring as...
Looking good, theres a decent guide on headlight correction in the guides section that should have them looking like new again. Will look much better than angel eyes imo.
Also a set of ph2 rear clusters would make a nice difference at the back.
Did you get that mahoosive sub for extra weight...
Aboslutely love petrol blue-not seen one on the roads though for nearly 12 months!
Looks in great condition dave, thought about some of those grey RS mats? Matt carbon splitter looks unusal too, like it.
Lol-no offence, but why did you buy a 2.0l if you're going to be such a pikey over fuel?
Maybe you ought to consider just selling it & buying a 1 point 2 or a dci instead, i hear theyre petty economical
I hear those McCain chips give pretty decent gains... :race:
Failing that fastchip would probs be your next best port of call (also includes basic obd capabilities). Don't expect a big up in power though-put 2-4k aside for either bodies or SC if you want significantly more.
The suspension changes are pretty minimal, its not a huge drop-sub 10mm iirc so hard to know visually. The uprated cup front hubs and the paint coding (small bands) on the stiffer springs would also be a clue.
Prob the simplest way is just to ask your local Renault stealership for the original...
Do a search, visually springs are paint marked to denote stiffer rating but may be hard to see. If it came with satnav/telephone prep it would have only had the splitter from the spoiler pack and wouldnt have originally been sold with a cup spoiler and will have a different aerial base.
Not a fan, surely wrapping is yhour best bet that way if you get fed up of it you can always revert it back? Maybe cf bonnet/bullets/sidestrips if you want the black on silver look?
Mike, that'd be immense. How much can you pick up a mk2 CR nowadays? There were a couple of the old palmersport ones for sale a while back but general consensus was that they'd had a hard life.
Invest in some std rims, maybe drop price by around £500 notes and i think you'll see a difference in the amount of interest. For me personally the unknwon reasoning behind the front end respray and those rims put me off straight away.
Theres an iceberg with similar looking wheels (not to...
Totally agree with all the comments so far, one of the best upgrades ive bought. Dropped about 30mil on mine-mildly firmer but still a comfy ride. Big improvement over the non cup springs i was running previously-virtually none of the annoying body roll it had. Yet to try it on track, but so far...
Just drive it fella-surely half the fun is figuring out for yourself how it drives?
Failing that, surely an advanced driver course would be a good bet if youre looking for pointers on getting smoother/quicker.
Re: June/July Chester Meet - Planning thread
Im on for this ifi havent harpooned the black cat at oulton the week before :rasp:
Jazzy Jamie-where were these roads oh wise sage. With you having lived over that way, surely you must know some peach routes?
Naith, can you not boost over with...
Is it the diamond or renault text? Whats your plan with these earpl, you farbing some in cf or they for a period project?
Any pics of what you're after fella?
p.
Pics from Mikes camera-sorry for the delay getting them up been a bit busy this week :dead:
Seems like theres a few more people who'd be up for future meets. The more the merrier
Alright fella, i still got a 172 but went for the black cup look instead :rasp:
Why you selling yours? You change clios more often than you do socks! ;)
Id love a cheap sunflower wrap for my ph2
£890 is too much for me personally. Liking the sound of self prep/buying vinyl though. Wheres this guy based?
