I've bought a few things off of him before to be honest, all of which were reasonably priced.
The engine though - He was asking for £200 more than what I eventually paid.

As per title and my post in the 'Things I don't like' thread, my cam belt died yesterday at 70mph.
It used to be a 42k 172, both belts having been replaced two years ago on 32k at RenoTec in Chelmsford, Essex.
Car's been recovered to the 'ol dear's house, and I have tracked down...
You could also get yourself some poorboys super swirl remover.
It comes in grades one to there's, three being the harshest.
That'll have more cut than the BH, and work well with what you've just bought.
