    Ph1 F4R ----> Ph2 172

    Exactly. As has my 182 engine - dephaser and a new PAS pump to boot. Madness.

    Ph1 F4R ----> Ph2 172

    Ah fair enough. I've bought a few things off of him before to be honest, all of which were reasonably priced. The engine though - He was asking for £200 more than what I eventually paid. Thing is, I'm sure some plonker will pay it.

    Project 172 B road blaster with occasional trackdays

    That RB looks lovely, I don't normally like that colour but with white wheels it's awesome. Why'd you sell it?! Interesting to hear your views on the Yoko's - you've got me second guessing mine now!

    Project 172 B road blaster with occasional trackdays

    Sorry to hear about your cup mate. Did you not consider a new engine? Either way - the replacement looks nice. RE tyres - I've got Pirelli P-Zero Nero's on mine, and they're absolutely brilliant for all types of road use. Could not recommend them enough. Track I've got Yoko Advan 048's and a...

    Max's 2005 clio 182 daily/track project.

    Congratulations on your new purchase - looks lovely mate! I was also previously a member of the chassis-rail scrape gang, albeit in BMW guise. Then I bought my Clio, remembered how driving a quick, convenient and practical car made life easier and somewhat more enjoyable, discovered lift-off...

    PAS fluid type

    Good evening all, I might be being a bit special but I've been trying to see which type of PAS fluid to buy for my 03 172. Tried the search but I'm yet to find a definitive answer. Any help would be much appreciated! :approve: TIA. Also - how much am I likely to need, if anyone knows?

    Just before I purchase one, will a Ph1 F4R fit my ph2? Just the bare engine - no ancillaries or manifolds, or even gearbox. TIA! Chris

    Cam belt died. Remedial choice to be made.

    Fred - I've no idea to be honest. Dropped the car off as I had to be somewhere. I don't think it is. I say think, I mean hope.

    This is my thinking. I'd feel a bit more confident in a new engine too.

    Cam belt died. Remedial choice to be made.

    Evening all. As per title and my post in the 'Things I don't like' thread, my cam belt died yesterday at 70mph. It used to be a 42k 172, both belts having been replaced two years ago on 32k at RenoTec in Chelmsford, Essex. Car's been recovered to the 'ol dear's house, and I have tracked down...

    PoorBoys?

    You could also get yourself some poorboys super swirl remover. It comes in grades one to there's, three being the harshest. That'll have more cut than the BH, and work well with what you've just bought.

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

    Bought it over a period of a couple of months, not all in one go - that would have been a basket worth hundreds! It was a copy n paste job from my CYC history, sod typing that. IMO you'd be best off putting exp under the wax, there is point in it that the wax would add depth, gloss and...
