Guysy
Sorry can't be of much help regarding trackrods etc., this job was done by my Sons ex-employers so can't divulge and I guess it wouldn't relate to the real world, I think that you do need a specialist tool to get the tie rods off - the ends were seized on too, so it was quite a...
Just to bring this project up-to-date with the work so far.....
2011
S/h Steering wheel in good condition unlike original
2 x new bosch Lambda O2 sensors (EML light problem)
2 x new brake disks and pads orig. renault.

This is the one you need for a 182

OEM is circa £22, this one £6.50 but not as good quality but works OK, the one you suggest has a bottom...
Disks and pads should be 'squeeky' clean - had this same problem after a disk change - only a half-hearted attempt at cleaaning the disks after fitting and result - no front brakes, took them off and cleaned with meths and lightly resurfaced the pads to get rid of any contamination and all was...
A Scorpian RS192 was fitted earllier this year & new mounts, does not fit quite as I would want it - it's a few mm off centre, real sod to get 100% and I'm real fussy, OCD?
The original Renault boxes were welded/repaired and missing the centre section, and holding a gallon of water when...
A bit of background on this project, the car was originally purchased by my Son, quite cheaply but althought it was kept well maintained by the orginal owner with dealership FSH, it did now require a bit of work.
Unfortunately Tim did not have time to do much to it in the few winter months he...
Hi
To understand the point of this long term project it will be worth reading my other post "Having a go - the consequence" in Track Days and Good Driving Roads.

My Son was tragically killed last year and his car...
Recently fitted a Bosch S5 - Excellent - 5yr guarantee 520AH - exceeds the OEM spec and cheaper (the original was a Renault/Yuasa)

The ebay exhaust mount £9 specials are a replica of the OEM, but perhaps rubber is of inferiour quality, yet to prove this.
I recently fitted a pair or rear mounts so time will tell....
I guess I would get a prize if I were a member? @ 63 and retired, though there are exceptional circumstances for my ownership.
The 182 is very special and here with me long term, I am presently restoring it to pristine condition, it's great to drive too - the sit-up driving position favours us...
The pumps are in the washer bottle under the front scuttle, you have to take the wiper arms off to remove the scuttle, easy if you have a puller for the arms.
Cheers
I had this problem with the reversed spaying, I am not sure if it is the pump, but a simple fix for me was to just swap the pipes on the pump around, the pump has two outlets, one for windscreen and one for back window.
This is the pump for the 182, NOT the one in the o/p, The windsceen and headlamp pumps are the same.

I would prefer a Bosch Silver and would still be cheaper, don't think that would have the vent output, but trying to maintain OEM where practical though.
The original battery needs replacing, OEM part 8200 253 042 made by Yuasa....
Question: there is what appeasrs a vent pipe that goes from the battery top back-side (+ end) down towards the wheel arch, is this vent still present on new OEM batteries?
Hi Guys
I have a few unrelated questions relative to my 182, thought I would bung 'em in together.......
1. Dropped a bolt onto the engine undertray, I can't see where it went, is there an easy way to retrieve bits without taking the tray off, I don't have access to a ramp/lift.
2. Thought it...
As per title..........
MOT fail on broken o/s spring.
Just want to confirm correct OEM part nr.
I suspect that the 'cup pack' spring has different rate/length to non-c/p.
Are the springs colour coded.
Thanks.
Thanks for the link Ato..
The Bosch work out similar to the Renault prices, but first want to know what is the difference between the OEM MkII and RS, these are different part nrs. and price.
Before forking out, does anyone know what is the difference between Clio II (7711419456) and RS II (7711172852) blades, there is about £5.00 difference in price (RS being dearer)
Rear wiper (7701410155)
- and can confirm that the above Part Nrs. are correct for 2004-RS/182.
Thanks
I'm hosting this file for a short time - a no-nonsense and very quick download......

Hi
Happy New Year to all.
Just looking to improve my general knowledge......
Looking in the glove box, at the back 'roof' or the box is what looks like a small inspection cover - yellow or orange if remember, it rotates out of the way to reveal a hole or something?
What is it for?
Cheers
Did mine recently and nearly made same mistake!
The one for the 182 is usually dscribed for the Megane Mk2 looks/fits exactly the same as the OEM, not as good quality but afterall it's only a washer pump.
This is the one I purchased off ebay and fits/works and was only £6.50 inc. postage...
The 1*2's are enthusiast cars and get a lot of DIY, try and buy one that has not been chopped and changed as this will equal unreliable!
If you want reliable - buy Japanese
If you want a lot of fun buy a 1*2
Thanks Koi
But is that part illustrated in the link correct for the Clio 182 - e.g. with the 90 degree inlet, ones I have seen for the clio II have a straight inlet entering at the bottom, I have only seen Clio III 2006 on with that 90 deg. inlet.
I would like to be sure as I need to get the...
