If you get the broken blade out, you can get a new blade cut for about £10, and it'll fit into your original fob, but you need the key code - it could be on the front of your service book if you have it (mine was).
I did one last year using 'keysinthepost' http://www.keysinthepost.com/.
Not sure about the centre mount but changing the back-end mounts should be possible without touching the boxes, just make sure the boxes are supported before undoing the three bolts on each of the mountings, plenty of WD40 first. The mounting plates can also be removed if the mounts wont budge.
I think this is fairly common fault.
I found this front/rear washing problem and immediately thought someone had put the pipes on the pump the wrong way round.
Replaced the pump and all was well, so my guess it's not the stalk or pipes but just the pump, aftermarket about £7, may as well...
I thought about the vice method, but despite being made of cheese as suggested, there are 3 laminates of M/S and take some budging even with hydraulics, let us know how you get on though.
Yes, agreed, only the thoughtless (perhaps kinder word) would use these jack points, the fronts were bent...
I've never chopped one up but would assume that the motor/pump rotor direction is reversed electrically (three wires), and the rest is done with the mechanical positioning of the output ducts.
They will rust.....
Used a trolley jack on its side against a wall and a wooden prop to push against the bend from the opposite side.
It worked and it is a bit more controllable than a big hammer, surprisingly hard to bend them back into position though despite being so easy to distort...
You can get an aftermarket pump for the 182 - its about £6, it is not listed as a Clio pump, but for the Megane Mk2.
It has a square shaped elec. connector and correct angled input, not as good quality as OEM (@£27) but will work.
See...
Not sure if you mean the silver inserts that come from Bulgaria costing about £7, these are a good match to the proper silver 182 insert but the quality is not as good as OEM, but a decent replacement that looks exactly like the original.
I thought they were different on Trophy's...
The alarm arming beeps happen if you try and set the alarm to soon, leave about 10-15 seconds after closing the door and no beeps, either way it should be armed.
If the battery voltage drops too low - it's likely the alarm will go off.
New long life battery (Bosh S5 (£60)) would be a very...
Not sure how legal the plates are from these online suppliers, they can meet the legal spec. in most ways but as you do not have to show them the documents, how can they be as I believe this is a legal requirement for UK plates?
Most state that they are 'show plates' only - no matter even if...
"They don't last forever" - not even 18 months?, I've got some original plates from 1992, still looking pretty good.
Cars are cars, so why do we drool over them?
Hi
18 months ago I needed a pair of plates for my personal reg., got these done at the local motor factor, after explaining how I needed them doing etc., didn't look too bad across the counter but when I got them back and had a closer look, I could see that both had damage where they had been...
I'm sure if anyone manages to produce a professional looking replacement - they would make a small fortune, but 'painting' does not sound good, it'll peel and wear pretty quick methinks. I think professional injection moulding would be the only real answer. Good luck.
The w/t VHF radios (like you see on the building sites, security, etc) need a licence here in the UK and possibly elsewhere, (about £60 a year) so don't wave 'em around at the rozzers, the walkie talkies will have a range of two or three miles in mixed terrain.
That guide does mention the drain in the centre of the scuttle, this was the fault I found.....
I would suggest a hose pipe in the scuttle and check that it is running out from ALL the drains, including the centre one.
At the back of the engine, approx in the centre, run your hand down the...
You need a wiper puller tool - you can get one for about £10 and it's worth its weight in knuckle skin, makes this job easy, remove the wiper mechanism/motor too-three bolts.
I noticed that the 205/45/16 Pilot Sport 3 is down in price.
Last year I paid around £125 for a a single PS3 87W and that was the best price I could find at the time - from same supplier they are now £100 ea. and PS3 83V are just £90 ea. this does not include fitting but free delivery.
Thats a...
The headlight washers work only when the headlights are on, pull the washer stalk for about 3 seconds and whilst the winscreen pump is continously running you should hear the 2nd pump pulse twice - once for each lamp.
If there is no water at all on the headlights then suspect the h/l washer...
If you knob is worn after a lot of handling.......
(I now pause for smutty comments)
...............................
Then it may end up like this
The 182 silver insert does wear, the plastic insert is not available seperate and the OEM replacement knob is £40+
The old knob will require...
An update.
I have continued to try and improve and maintain the car, athough I have only covered a handful of miles through the summer, it continues to be a money pit, unfortunately, I still have not had a lot of time for the Clio as I have been putting a lot of work (&money) into the other car...
The ones usually listed for the Clio II are not correct for the 182, they have bottom entry and wrong connector.
OEM will cost you £20+
You need this one and it's a good price - as fitted to the Megane 2, note the square connector and side entry...
If you have access to a laptop....
This is what you want and it's the cheapest shipping from the UK <£10 inc.

A few days back, one of my front springs broke, bang, clatter, clatter and all that, about half a coil lay by the wayside.
But funny thing is.....
The broken spring side, now sits considerably higher than otherside, (about 2 cm), I would of expected that this side would be lower with half a...
I really do need to pay through Paypal though, long story but that is not what the post is about.
Already have one spring, just want to know where I am be able to obtain one from.
Very recently sorted this problem.
Water comes in through the scuttle area and down inside the bulkhead usually towards the drivers side, if you park on a slope - the water can creep into the rear floor area too.
The root cause was the centre scuttle drain getting blocked, filling with water...
