Yep, my system falls apart quite easily :) If people read the rules we would be ok ;)
After this round I will figure out a nice easy way to do a seperate "Entry" thread to sit alongside a Discussion/Test thread.
PC user, got Photoshop Elements 6.
As for the work I did,
Played with Levels, still not quite sure how this worked but as it was a perfectly white car in reality I used the white "dropper" and clicked on the car, this made the car white and all of a sudden everything else looked closer to...
That was the idea :) Just a boost of the colours to make it more vibrant and punchy. Particuarly when printed it should look much much better than the original.
Whenever I get back from a motorsport event I usually spend between 1 and 2 hours sorting out around 600-800 photos, including a few minor colour tweaks (not that I knew what I was doing) and maybe a crop, and that was it.
I shared a few pics elsewhere and somebody kindly did a 're-edit' for...
Congrats to andywright182 for the victory in the last round with this image depicting the subject 'Macro / Close-Up'...
...the new subject has been chosen by him and is:
Black & White
Comp runs from now until midnight Wednesday 28th May. Any photos entered must be taken...
You're welcome :)
Pics 2 and 5 in the first post are the pick of the bunch for me, look brilliant with the crowds in the background. 5 in particular is brilliant, I love it.
All in all some superb efforts for a first attempt (you should see my early stuff!), more practice which will lead...
Took me just over an hour to work through 600 pics, I don't do any sharpening or anything, just a quick level adjustment if they are too dark/light. Had a play with two of them in Photoshop (I desaturated the background of the Plato pic posted above) but like to leave them alone for the most...
Nothing special but a few from today, BTCC and other support races can be found here:

A few from today, was nice and quiet, probably due to Japfest happening up the road. Will post Clio pics over in the Clio Media section shortly...

Looked very very busy on the news. Love that these events are so successful as it must bring in some good revenue for the circuit (and area) but I hate the fact you get so many knobs driving like idiots on the local roads, circuit is on a knife-edge with the locals anyway.
One of the reasons...
Anyone go, any pics?
Let this one pass this year as I wanted to go to the BTCC at Thruxton, got to the end of my road at 7:30 this morning and had to wait 5 minutes as (and yes, I counted) just over 30 Skylines, 8 Supras and 5 or 6 of those Starlet things passed at the junction! A few minutes...
pmsl, oddly enough Andi I re-checked through the thread for your entry as I noticed a lot of 'test' shots of yours throughout the thread. I didn't find one during the dates, which I'm guessing from your blush smiley means you never flagged anything.
I don't mean to be harsh with the dates...
If it's not speed but power then it's purely a driving issue, as closing speeds would be irrelevent. How do you deal with that though? Castle Combe as a racing club are certainly limited in their powers to do anything as the overall regs (licences etc) come from higher up. BHP limits are...
I didn't say power difference, I said speed / lap times. Doesn't really matter if they have 700bhp, Tim Hanlon threw a 1.8 205 GTi around the track (in a race) in just 2 seconds less than those front-running Class A guys.
I'm very very sad and I spent an hour working it out (as people didn't...
Financial viability, mainly. If multi-class racing didn't exist then there would be far fewer Championships and opportunties to go racing in this country.
As I mentioned the last time he crashed, the speed/time differential in the CC Saloon Car Championship is hardly any different from many...
I don't make any assessment of quality, at the end I just search each page for the word 'entry' up until the closing date (as per the rules), then save all the pictures ready for the poll.
I assume you never flagged anything, or I somehow missed it.
Anyhow, 6 for me, I love it.
That shot used a flash (you can see from the movement at the top left of her head), probably rear curtain sync which captures movement and all the nice background light initially then fires the flash for the last part of the image to capture the main subject.
