What with you, me, Vish & Nick all having ///M cars now, possibly the coolest bunches of guys in the Chertsey area?
#More ITB's than the local Jenvey warehouse.
So, still no changes with the M3, just been driving it. The mini being broken for so long has made me question the point of having a trackcar when i already have this though, i simply love the car, the way it pootles around town, but then absolutely devours miles when im on it is a constant...
So as with most things, this is potentially spiraling again 😂
A BVH obviously has much bigger exhaust ports, so if i don't fit a better manifold (Janspeed 4-1), i will have a bottleneck. I need to keep the cat to keep noise down, but the Janspeed Sportscat is only rated for standard...
Yeah, it was mint as well, made me feel a little bad for mine tbh, definitely needs a little love from a bodywork perspective!!
I have done it, just not documented on here, thanks for the offer off the sticker though

Looks alot better imho, & as the rear wiper didnt work anyways, no...
lol, i only picked it up last night!!! 😂
The chap had a 1320 turbo converted R53. Dear god it was epic.
Looks standardish:
But 360 bhp at the wheels
With launch control.
So after my pondering re: blue smoke on startup here: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/decisions-re-track-car-the-mini.793728/
I bought a solution the other day off bidsy26 on Minitorque:
The head needed to come off to change the valve stem seals, so it made perfect sense to upgrade everything...
Ha ha, good to see you floating around Matt, hope you're well!! Impressed you still have an e36 as well lol ...
Taken a couple of silly little videos over the past few days, the iPhone still doesnt really capture the sound very well, but its ok
Oh i do, just not at the moment lol!!
Want a bigger house first, which i will have enough money for in approx. 2 years
No room in the current place as it only has 1 bedroom, so they'd have to live in the 550i 😂
Stop going out/going on nice holidays/buying nice cars/living in a nice place?
Obtain no goings out/cr4p holidays/people carriers/not affording a big enough house, being covered in sh1t/sick & having no sleep?
Ill pass lol.
But it looks in better condition than my saxo was when i bought that 😂
The last one mike had was tied around a tree, then reversed backwards to pull out the front end. This seems marginal compared!
My halfords set:
Stanley tool box - full of a variety of Halfords/Draper/Sealey/VAG specific tools.
Green box - Boschmann impact gun. Another great way to spend £65!!
Percy Pig bag - mini specific tools.
lol, as Mike knows, i am Mr Health & Safety 😂
In effect though, as its so low, i need the red low entry jack to get the car up in the air, but it doesn't rise very high, so then use the yellow one to get the car up a little higher to get the axle stand under the car. Even then, as...
So the mini hasn't really moved since the Bedford track day at the end of Feb due to this:
The outer CV boot had torn completely on the drivers side, dumping grease quite literally everywhere, over the wheel, brakes, etc. Such a flipping mess!! I had been in two minds what to do for a while...
I got a Halfords Pro kit when i was 18, 16 years later im still adding to it with a variety of other bits & bobs as & when required.
Local shops, great tools, cant go wrong really.
They are quick, people on PH talk boll0cks most of the time tbh. Last time someone was comparing the low down torque of an M135i to one ffs.
If you drive it like a normal car they are very quick (i only tend to go to 4-5k in normal driving), but its just seamless power increase, not kick in the...
