Ha ha, excellent response from Audi!!
Reminds me of my boss mentioning to Mercedes that his e63 was making a loud thunk when changing from 5-6th at the limiter, they queried how the hell he knew that as the car was only delivered the previous day 😂 Apparently his response of...
Thats the multi-function steering wheel (standard on the DSG), does yours have the full on board computer in the instrument binnacle or the pikey half thing? Mine also had the speaker upgrade, folding mirrors, cruise (retrofitted), cd changer in the armrest & satnav.
This is full OBC with MSFW...
See ive never understood this business. Surely when you wipe dirt/grit off the car, it wipes the dirt/grit across the car? Unless you dab the car with the wash mit?
r32oc is like a graveyard compared to CS as well tbh.
Cruise retrofit is easy, £35 stalk, 20 minutes of trim removal & 5 minutes of coding with VCDS.
I get the impression your skillz are somewhat non-mechanical however, so perhaps get @Scrooge to do that as well ;)
Excellent colour combo!!
Now you need an RNS510, coilovers, Whiteline ALK, rear ARB, Haldex controller & some coilovers.
Also, whilst the option Recaros look nice, i found the standard ones to be far more comfortable!!
Re: the front end noise, i had similar and it was the cv joint on the...
Brilliant thread this!!! I'm a great fan of old skool hot hatches, so here's a few of mine over the years ...
Fiesta 1.6si at 18 (was a '95 in 2000), wanted an RS1800, but they were daft to insure, so had 100bhp instead of 130bhp, epic seats
First 106 Gti ('99 in 2003), my 21st birthday...
I was too tight to buy them in the end, £160 a set vs £20 for the Pagids, even if i replace them after every other trackday, that's still 16 events to break even lol!! So ive bought some pads, just need to fit them now.
Took this picture last night as it amused me, would seem the mini is setup...
I tend to agree, my boss has an e63 AMG and the noise whilst amazing, is a little "forced" sounding i think!
Thanks Chris, im loving it so far, have actually ony ever seen 1 other saloon, so i do think they are alot rarer than the coupe
You & me both, luckily my parents live about 15...
I probably would have lol, had the previous owner not had the Bluetooth module replaced by BMW at 60,635. Doh.
Even then though, £112 a month is a hell of a lot for warranty!!
Ha ha, excellent work Phil!! 😂
First issue has now risen its head. Left the car last night and all was...
If i do anything, it would be the CIC controller only, not the full system, although whilst the controller is cheap, the centre console is not, so £300 for slightly easier use? Probably not worth it tbh, would rather spend the £300 on fuel lol. Re: the warranty, as the car is on 61k miles, its...
I think you need to try one then, the way people talk about the e39 M5, i think an e90 would be a good natural progression, although from what you say, the lack of torque below 2k rpm would be different to the e39, you do need to make sure of the box a decent amount in the e90. On the flipside...
Thats what i always say i guess, & what i always find to be wrong with any non M, i miss the angriness of "the engine".
For me, that is the major issue with the latest turbo'd ones, they just sound like an M135i crossed with a lawnmower.
The problem with massive torque low down is traction...
I know what you mean i think, although i see the mini as my "fun" car as you can enjoy that at legal speeds.
This is just for the noise if im entirely honest 😂
Todays neighborly wake up call ...
Yeah, was easier to just sell to Jenks/EKP, not sure its for sale on the forum yet. Yes, did consider the B& RS4 quite a bit, but in the end decided that i wanted something a bit more modern and am simply used to BMW infotainment systems etc, im a BMW man really as well, cant deny it...
Yeah, there was loads of chat about the price lol, was originally up for £19,995, but i agreed way less than that with him from the outset. I dont mind paying good money for cars though if needs be, the e46 M3 was probably overpriced as well (i paid £11k), but i loved the colour combo and...
Lovely, thanks!
Interior is called fox red, so a dark red, although its nigh on impossible to capture properly in photos! Its bright, but not horrific, although i would probably swop to heated black leather if it became available. I also hate the silver dash strips, so pondering what to replace...
So following on from this: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/e46-m3-individual-version-2.782097/
A few good months of hard saving meant that i could finally buy want i really wanted back in September 2015!!
Well actually, i originally wanted a coupe, but was drawn into the rarity of the saloon...
Lovely, cheers! Very pleased with it so far!
Haha, 6 months pretty much, thats fairly good going 😂
To be fair, ive had a few good months at work, so whilst it wasnt really planned, it made sense to do it sooner rather than later really, have a wedding to pay for next year!!
