Smashing work mate. Fair bit gone into that.
I'd like to do the same going regarding my gearbox and I'll probably drop Mark a message when I'm ready.
Have you a link to the guide you mentioned? Also thanks for the kind words regarding the plates 👍
Engine bay looks sweet also 😎
A pain in the arse job made easy.
People should definitely use this method as way to do so. Myself and others have struggled doing it the "manual" way and this way is a no brainer.

After I posted above, I decided to read the whole thread from start to finish this week, finishing just now.
This is how they should be done. There was nothing tacky about this cup and all the mods was done tastefully. A real inspiration to how a 172/182 should be modified, even 8 years...

And one of the pic we actually took after he left!
I took around 15 pics in total. I actually decided to not use my cameras a lot, even though...
Just got home.
Once again, as always it was another great event. Weather was good, cars on show was great and as always, it was great to talk to people, both who i've known and new faces.
Another well organised event and kudos once again to the admin who make the event happen.
I had the same paul. All I did was remove the side skirt (2 torx on the edge behind the wheel and a few rivets down the skirt and it pulls off) and then use some mole grips to twist the jacking points as straight as I could. Then refitted. Just buy some normal rivets from toolstation or similar...
