Thanks Paul.
I wash them quite regularly. Not with anything special mind, but I did use some bilt hamber wheel cleaner the other day and it was great. It's very hard to keep them mint, as by the time I get home, I have brake dust and splatter on them!
They have yellowing and deposits in places...
Thanks bud.
Do it mate. I made a load up as we had spare plates at work and it made sense to paint a few in one hit. I've done a few sets of 3/4 fronts and few with full sized fronts.
I know!
Thanks Ben.
Few months back i made some "custom show plates" which was plain plates, wrapped in white vinyl and the front cut in 3/4 size. I had some Renault Sport stickers made up also. The white vinyl lifted in places so i decided to spray them. I did them again but with rattle cans, but had a reaction to...
Nice to have the driveway and garage. Man times ahead!
Does look cleaner with the stickers removed. They was never "in your face" anyway but looks better now.
Get that rust treated and touch it up for now so it's not visable and covered and then get it painted. Has both sides gone?
Unfortunately, when you've had enough or really lost the love, it's hard to get it back.
In the grand scheme of things, it's probably not that hard or expensive to fix, considering what's been done to the car. Someone will buy it and fix it and you'll see it fixed and think, I should of kept...
Paints ok tbf Paul. It has a few chips already. 1 on bonnet, one on wing and 3 on bumper I think. Not bad considering it's been used all throughout the winter season with all the crap on the roads. No sealer either because I'm stupid.
They always come back.....
My 2118s we're et43 (most are unless in white, which are et38) and f1s was et43 also. I had 20mm spacers on the f1s and 5mm spacers on the BG, but I think you'll get away with having none. But you have 16mm anyway so you'll be fine on both.
If you fail, you can always look into his-pec and jamsport as they do off the shelf kits. Hi-spec use 280mm discs and have there own adapters and sell you a array of pads, jamsport use a 295mm and have there own adapters with ds2500 pads from memory.
Both come with braided lines and fluid.
It have a Ph1 over a Ph2. I love the look of them and even the retro looking dash works. @imprezaworks ?
But as with all cars that are knocking on, you'll find issues with them. Rust being one of them, but if it's a project then you could always get it sorted and repainted.
Ph2 are more...
