I dont mean the core plugs on the flywheel side I meant the seals behind the pulleys or is that what you meant? or maybe im getting myself confused here, lol.
edit: Cool thanks swede.
right, ive had a read about on the forum about people saying the horseshoes bend etc i don't doubt what they are saying but if you are using the pulley lock tool how does that happen?
anything wrong with these for 1 change or 2...
As i cant edit, ill update again for anyone else searching who may find this useful.
ordered a set of injectors chucked them on, car seemed better, then threw missfire cyl 4 again...
Checked leads, didnt look like id clicked on cyl 4 properly, anyway switched lead 3 and 4 to see if the misfire...
Can i just wire these aftermarket tweeters into the stock connection?
I found a crossover box in there too, hoping i dont have to faff around with this.
Thanks :)
How much play do you have in the belt if you push it in with your finger? I didnt tension mine near the the max point. I dont have a picture to show you atm unfortunately. But as long as it doesn't slip youre fine, it specifically says not to overtighten the belt.
whoever needs aircon in this country, fairies!
The PMS kit is very simple doesnt seem worth the money, but youre paying for the R&D not the finished product. I'd only remove the compressor if it was broken though tbh, there is very little resistance on the pulley when you spin it by hand but i...
Just for anyone who may be searching in future.
Changed spark plugs, cleared fault codes = no different
P0304 - Cylinder 4 missfire detected - funnily enough the black plug above was in cyl 4.
Checked injectors for resistance.
1,2,3 = 14.6/14.5 - bang on specification.
injector 4 = 11.6
So...
This will fit but the postive point is on the other side and there is no thread in the bracket so youd have to use stud bar and 2 nylon nuts if that makes sense

Assuming yours is an aircon model..
hmm well plug number one is very black and they are quite worn 1.1/1.3mm gap, they need changing anyway so ordered some more.
if that doesn't change it then will look at possibility of an injector. lead etc..
Ok done the alternator/aux belt etc all back together, now getting the above error codes.
Haven't checked the spark plugs/leads etc yet. Will be the first thing tomorrow morning.
But really my question is would a knock sensor & pre lambda cause a misfire? Idles rough and when you rev it engine...
Gave them a ring, apparently it does sit close to the body & nick said check to make sure the belt alignment is okay and if so its fine, otherwise i may need a washer. Will see how it goes.
Yeah just got the aircon delete kit didnt bother with the lightweight pulleys. Not sure if it lines up as wont be fitting it til Thursday. Ill give nick a ring tomorrow morning just to be sure. Thanks for your help Scott
Got the kot today looks good but the tolerance is very tight on the pulley to the alternator. Ill give nick a ring tomorrow to be sure thats the way its supposed to be. Im sure its fine
Had only you noticed before you could have got it filled and painted again, this may be the best option...
I guess you could find a lock on ebay and put it in there, but obviously it wouldnt work lol.
Sweet. Will then just need to get the cambelt done can sack off the other bits happy days. I guess with this kit you have to judge the belt tension for yourself?
Thanks again fred/dan
Fred youre a lovely man but I think ill go for the aircon delete can sack the compressor off then. The only thing stopping me from ordering it is I have heard problems with the belt length. Ill give them a ring monday morning I guess.
Thanks :)
I think this could work as the part is replaced anyway and I can do away with the AC then, can anyone confirm?
