The gains on any aftermarket filter running standard induction set up will be miniscule at best. Stick with the cheapest that way when you realise you've wasted your money your only £20 out of pocket and not £40.

I had 2 clios over 3 years, didnt replace anything mechanically, well ok I did change the enginein the 182 but that was my fault. Sounds like youv just been a bit unlucky
They do similar systems for the vauxhalls too, seem to give pretty good results, but not as good as a reflash. I'm sorry i dont know a great deal about them though.
Probably someone who took his battery off for a day or so put it back on, connected the terminals the wrong way. "ahh man its not working the ECU must have lost its settings!"
Go with an RSTuner, decent tuner, diagnostics, data logging. Plus you can sell it on after you have finished. Best value for money. This is all in my opinion of course.
