No difference really, it's just that Smugmug has the facility (although it's US based) to order prints directly, and I haven't investigated how to switch off that function yet.
All my pics are free at full-res and always have been, however I can see how many are downloaded at which size so I...
Drop me a PM matey, off to the parents now till about 9pm so no net access etc, but if you know what you want let me know and I put them in your folder for you.
I see where you're coming from, for motorsports I always aim for pin-sharp, but I fancied something a bit different for these (at 30mph they look a bit dull when sharp!) and quite like the effect.
Yes I know what you mean, usually the sky would be blown out (pure white) when the car is properly coloured. I used a polarizing filter when the sun was out, that darkens the sky and also cuts through reflections in the car windows/paint. When it was cloudy I spot metered (I use matrix metering...
Trailerparktrev was kind enough to bring his new 197 to my neck of the woods for a few photos today. As luck would have it I found an old petrol station (2 minutes from my house!) when I was going to meet him, so we got some photos there and also around West Wilts Trading Estate...
Those are individuals selling on Amazon, you would never get Amazon putting the prices of their own stock up.
Mario Galaxy is out next week and I think Nintendo were hoping to have stock ready in the country for that, so I imagine there will be a major shipment arriving shortly.
They can't...
I've just checked again this morning (I assume this isn't peak time) and it has connected at exactly 160kbps again (apart from day one it has always done this), sounds fishy to me, surely there should be some variation?
They actually informed me it was connected (by text message), I started installing everything 16 hours after that message, and never managed to get an actual connection for a further 24 hours after that (and as mentioned, still never got a response to my support request)
Stuck between a rock...
As long as you are prepared to spend 25ppm if anything goes wrong, and put up with seriously restrictive speeds at 'peak' times (i.e. after work!) you will be fine :)
It really is terrible, and having spent a day or so researching my problems I've discovered that I'm far from the only one...
Back at home (which is in a cabled area) we've had Virgin/Blueyonder for over 5 years and never had any problems, the net connection in particular has been rock solid and I can only think of one or two occasions in years when the connection has dropped or got really slow.
So I moved house a...
You will be amazed how creative you get with a fixed lens, and the 50mm is pro-quality glass, the sharpness and clarity is up there with lens' that cost 15 times as much.

Number 4 was to be a Vee, but I bought a house instead and downgraded to a Hyundai Coupe ;)
Got quite a few pics of it here, all in the same 'shade'...

It's also the same one I use to pass every day at Platinum Renault here in Trowbridge, couldn't believe it when I met the new owner on a wind-swept owner in Devon!

Love it myself, used to pass one every day for about 6 months and was determined to win the lotto and buy it (settled on a loan and a 172 Cup!)
Bit like Inferno in as much as it's always appears as different colours in different light.
Some really good stuff there, particuarly the firsts eries with the landscapes etc as it's something I'm keen to learn (useless at it)
My only negative comment would be that some of the blue sky looks a little black in some pics, might be worth turning the polarizer down a notch ;)
I can't imagine they will go any lower than that (particuarly the D40 anyway), sweet sweet price for a great piece of kit.
Worth pointing out again that the D40 isn't the same camera as the D50/70, they removed the auto-focus motor to reduce costs (and the fact that Nikon's new lens will...
This is unbelievable really, it must happen to 30-40% of 360 owners easily. Imagine if 1 in 3 Clios just overheated and stopped working within months, you imagine the product would be withdrawn and redesigned.
I often spend an hour or so just browsing Flickr and being stunned by how many talented car photographers are out there.
Something to aspire to!

I have a feeling I'm going to hate this, but will give it a go.
I'm not a fan of all the 'what does this mean?' nonsense, a magazine reviewed a picture of mine once and said something along the lines of 'Chris has emphasized the deep blacks to show the emptiness of this scene', er, no I...
When did you buy this one? I swear it's the one I went to look at about 18 months ago (somewhere near Oxford), it had really nice refurbed Turbines on it though.
I'm 99.9% sure that's the plate from it, I got it HPI'd and everything.
