If it has the MOT history, service invoices (+ stamped book) & bills to prove 24k miles, its possibly worth the money.
If it only has a service book, with 2 stamps in it (pdi & the work DTM did) its not worth it lol.
No lol, its brilliant, the petrol/matches would be for the clio.
The M135i would replace it
In all seriousness though, all i wanted for the Trophy was ITB's & a diff, so id go with that.
Unless the twingo was worth £2.5k that wasnt a very good deal lol. No Recaros/Turinis = instant £1300 discount over a normal one. Glad to see the car is still going though, Matt spent a fortune on it at JMS from memory, was always more on the "used" side of Trophy's like my old one.
It would be impossible to regulate. For example, i could have one legit, hpi clear clio with a load of parts, then 10 clios that ive nicked, also with parts. I give the IDs for the legit one, but sell 11 coil packs off it. The thought is a good one, but it simply wouldnt work.
Re: the...
Because you can buy an highly modified ITB'd clio for £3k, then brake it for £5k.
Terrible news about the Trophy in the OP however, fingers crossed it will turn up somewhere & can be returned to the owner.
Indeed it has!! Currently at a bit of a crossroads as to how to fix the car prior to that however:
Option 1 - compression test to make sure its ok after "sparkpluggate", fit new plugs/leads/coil pack, keep the GRS top mount intercooler & 450 injectors, take it to 1320, get them to sort the...
So Donington was brilliant, for the 40 mins the car worked.
Unfortunately, most of the day was spent like this:
Because of this: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/melted-spark-plug-causes.762279/
Which needs i need to spend more money.

If you mean the GP, it wont have anywhere near that!! Standard ones tend to put out 200, your pulley might take it to 215 or so 😧 I do massively miss the diff & shorter ratio box of my old one though!!
Yeah, was mapped by 1320 on the 7's a couple of years ago, but yes, perhaps i should have gone to the 8's for trackday due to extra heat/loading?
Tell me about it, was the 1st day with the car, so was supposed to be a bit of a shakedown, but expected to use it more than i did lol!!
Not yet...
Injectors were 2nd hand, fitted by previous owner (Sarah's brother) a couple of years back.
Im hoping that as its running fine now, i.e. no misfires etc, it would indicate that there is no further mechanical damage?
As Greg says, we reckon it might have spat it out, otherwise it would be...
So trackday at Donington yesterday, did about 30 mins epic running, then misfire, P302 (should be cyl2) on Scanguage.
Pulled everything apart, fitted new leads/coilpack off a friends Cooper S, same problem, pulled pugs out to be greeted by the following:
Cylinders 1>2>3>4 left to right...
