New 172 / 182 Engine required

Aye up,

Something has gone wrong with my cam belt... tensioner or something has gone, so I´m looking at the possibility of getting a new engine for my ph2 172 vs. replacing the internals of the one I´ve just shagged. How hard are these to come by?? and what would everyone think is a reasonable price?

The logical next question is does anyone have anything in central scotland?

Engines are readily available.

Price depends on mileage and condition.

I'd expect to pay:

£275 for a 130k lump.
£350 for a 100k lump.
£500 for a 60k lump.

Low mileage the better. eBay is a good shout but make sure you get the logbook etc and a recent service history to say its what it is

£600 I payed for a 38k delivered.
