Charlie i was just gathering evidence to help you claim a new exhaust under warranty, honest ;) . I will try and get the short video edited and uploaded later today.
Think Renault should just make them like this without the backbox, saves them replacing them all the time.
That must be good for an extra 5bhp, less weight to carry. :)
Lucky u could carve the exhaust off thanks to that kind Indian take away guy.;)
Thanks fingers crossed, Rich replied before i could PM him
Thanks Rich for the fast reply i will get some Autoglym Super Resin tomorrow and give it a go.
Came back from work to find the car had been sh*t on by the local pigeons / seagulls  so i thought may as well clean the whole car when i get home. Problem is it took me ages just to get the bird sh*t off this one spot and no matter how hard i try i can still see the faded remains of it. I...
I can hear a rattling sound from my car but it only happens when the car is cold, once it warms up its ok.
When it was in for a service recently they said it was the baffle in the centre section and that Renault would replace this under the warranty. Cant say ive noticed the exhaust being any...
From the Renault Clio handbook page 0.04 and 0.05
When tyres are cold
Normal use)*
Front 33 (PSI) or 2.3 (Bar)
Rear 30 (PSI) or 2.1 (Bar)
Motorway use*
Front 39 (PSI) or 2.7 (Bar)
Rear 32 (PSI) or 2.2 (Bar)
But like TrophyBoy says these are tyre pressure figures for 205/45/16s but...
Fastest top speed was Rocket Ronnie in the Skyline think it was 203.7mph but due to the stupid scoring i think Simon Norris won overall even though he broke his O/S/R driveshaft and couldnt compete in the finals of the handling course, and was rubbish on the shootout of the 1/4 mile due to...
Cheers m8, to be honest i just wanted my bed, i was fekked. Was a long day leaving the house at 5am and getting back home about 10pm with 8hours of that driving. And with only a few hours sleep the night before ;)
Anybody go to this on Sunday?
I decided to travelled down with my m8 Davy from Glasgow for this, about 4hours drive down and the same on the way back up.
Some amazing cars there as you will see from the pictures, unfortunately with cars pushing the very limits of the engines capabilities...
From the replies it looks like everybody just puts up with it. Looks like i will have to do the same :( .
I started the car today then waited a minute or so until the idle had come down to just above 1000 rpm and drove off and it was ok.
cheers
Some good pictures posted. Just a few pics of my 172, this thread has me im in the mood to take more pics now:) damn!! means cleaning the car AGAIN!!!

Thanks for your comments. I see this is a common problem but surely it can be fixed?
This is the only car i've experienced this in and to be honest its really annoying  especially when giving friends a lift.
I'm gonna try waiting for a few minutes then drive off and see if this helps...
Ok i wonder if anybody can help with any information about this or help fix it.
Basically when the car is cold it starts ok, but the problem is driving it. I know you should never thrash a car when its cold...so i dont. But the car drives like it has kangaroo petrol until the engine heats up...
