Mini Update.
My car as of yesterday. (The Corsa with the Ronals is not mine haha)
Out with the old
In with the new
Bought the lamps from Budgie, bit of fade but they were corrected and polished up nice in the end.
There was no hassle at all surprisingly, with next to no mechanical...
Of headlights, basically trying to get my headlights out , i had a friend do it before without taking the bumper off,
Can anyone throw an illustrative guide my way?
Thanks for your time!
Welcome, I personally think black limo tints on a silver clio look banging. The general consensus of ClioSport on the otherhand don't tend to like tints as they're seen as chavvy.
I bought some NGK spark plugs a few months ago off an independent trader, I dont remember the exact price but I dont think it was more than 15 quid, maybe even a tenner.
I then spent the rest of the day crying because I didn't realise the Clio needs a particular tool to put them in yourself.
The black surround variety. Though I don't want to pay around 300 odd for them
Anyone recommend where I can get my hands on them for a little less?
They're hopefuly going to go onto my Dynamique, now as it's somewhat of a conversion, I'm assuming there's a little more work to be done to get...
Average size update today.
Here is the Dynamique as of late.
Rideheight = Im not sure of myself, I think I'm going to lower it.
Turinis = Delicious
Calipers & Drums = Awful, need some colour other than 'rust'
The colour coded bump strips and bullets are courtesy of SprayShack. They do a...
Coilovers most likely, more potential that way, Springs seem too limiting. Though how comfortable my ride is, is a big factor towards what I'm going to do.
Cheers man, they cost me around the tune of 500. Not a bad price either. Someone off of here, can't remember his name for the life of me though.
Shame it's only a 1.2, can't wait to whack em on a 172 of my own.
I will lower, just when I get enough info to assure no scrubbing :P
Looks like I'm not alone then!
I'll chuck a few up for you tomorrow, I realise today that I havent added any of that to my thread either, so you can count on a few tomorrow. (:
Wanting to lower my clio; as it is currently looking awfully high up.
At the moment, it's sitting on 17" Turinis, as opposed to the standard 14's or 15's that come with a Dynamique.
Though for one, I don't want scrubbing at all. Does anyone have any rough estimations that I could get away with...
Im aware that you can get different surrounds on the 172 headlamps, though to do it properly from my 1.2 I'd have to pay a fair bit.
Im just wondering if anyone has, or knows of anyone that has taken their headlamp units apart and sprayed the surround black? Is that even conceivable as an...
A flathead screwdriver and some delicacy, they're only in by clips.
I only got round to spraying my rear badge the other day. It was quite the inconvenience.
(Still got a bit of masking tape to get off)
Nice colour. The RS Grille is a popular mod on here. Makes the car look so much better imo.
For a supposed 'Car enthusiast' forum, it's peculiar to see a lot of people say keep it standard.
I suppose if you want to personalise it but keep it cheap, you can spray your badges/dash strips...
Real easy, a bit fiddly, but lift up the bonnet and you'll know what to do.
> Two plastic screws either side of the grille at the top, pop them out
> The grille is then clipped into the front bumper, all you've got to do is push it away from the bumper, it'll unclip and voila.
Then...
What about the specifics? Do you have more than one car with admiral?
How many NCB do you have?
How many years NCB did you have prior? I know you have to have atleast 1 year with them.
Same with me at 4 grand, though not affordable just yet.
Tried various places, seems to me like it's almost blacklisted.
The most "affordable" I've got it as a 20 year old is 4 grand.
Does anyone recommend a company? (Yet to try Brentacre)
Either that or perhaps start up a "Let's get Sam insured fund"
Thanks!
My car is currently idling at different revs, and every few seconds it chokes, and the revs will drop, even on occasion the engine will cut out.
Someone on the thread has mentioned a possible idle control valve, but I've noticed now that this has turned my car into quite a bumpy ride.
Im...
I dont know if this is useful but for the past few days my Car has had troubling starting up, the engine turns over but it doesn't start firing up.
It eventually starts up after a few seconds but I thought it might be worth mentioning
I never properly got it off, I gave up because it was just contorting under the pressure of the screwdriver. Too much work for such little outcome really.
Whilst idling, I noticed, say every four seconds(Fluctuating), that my revs drop a little, and the car sounds like a minor cough or choke, this happens quite regularly. Particularly when cold I think, it's also dropped to the extent where my engine just cuts out thought that doesnt happen that...
