Nope it's a cement factory in Wiltshire. Misleading pic actually, under the snow is the only thing my home town is remotely famous for...the Westbury White Horse.
I work for Wiltshire College, not a photographer though, I'm a Curriculum Officer. The Web Developer spotted some of my work and...
I tried it a year or so ago with limited success. Haven't tried since but will have to practice soon, my work wants me to do panoramic shots of the campus for the website. Much easier indoors when you haven't got clouds moving around messing up the light etc.
It doesn't work with mine online but when I link to a pic on my C Drive it tells me what number in the shutter sequence the pic was, i.e. how many pics you've taken! Bit scary actually.
A useful tool if you see a pic you like on the web and want to know more about it...
http://regex.info/exif.cgi
Just paste the URL in and see what information still exists for it. It can be pretty detailed if the pic is in a reasonably original state.
Here is an example from my site...
A bit of Exif investigation...it's a stitch up!
"Final Image Created with The Panorama Factory V3.3 by Smoky City Design"
I can't think of any lens that would achieve that without stitching, my forthcoming 10mm won't get anywhere near that and you can't go much wider without using a Fisheye.
I loved my Cup with the rear bench completely out, sounded better for a start. Managed to keep them out 90% of the time, very rarely need to take more than 1 person anywhere and could have coped without if it wasn't so easy to just plonk that back in.
I covered about 16k in a year with them...
The terror!
f**k me, I would die in seconds...and considering he seemed to be struggling with the gearbox I can't imagine a 'regular person' would find that easy to drive!
That was pre-Eibach days for me, I lost a good few mm's later in her life before she moved abroad (er, Wales).
I have a Hyundai Coupe at the moment, £1500 winter car until I decide what to do next in the Spring. Main thing is I don't keep going out at 7am on a January morning anymore "just...
As long as you keep the interior to eventually go back in then yep, go for it, can't see why not.
You always seem to have the rears out anyway so you won't miss that. It just all comes down to what front buckets you get, most aren't exactly famous for comfort.
Yep done my research now and the 600 looks the more appropriate contender.
Saying that about my 10-20, just been delayed by 2 weeks now as there are shortages of the Nikon fitment! Tried two other stores and got the same answer, loads of Canon about though.
Not sure yet, it's being delivered tomorrow...
I researched for weeks though and it came out well on top for me. The Nikon 12-24 is only ever so slightly better apparently, but then it's also well over double the price! It's going to New York with me next month so I'm going to get some...
A 197 nearly blinded me this evening passing near Platinum Renault in Trowbridge, fog lights on for this beautiful clear evening, what bloody bulbs are Renault using these days?!
Anyone here? :)
Nearly...got the 50mm 1.8 and Sigma 70-300 last year (£180 in total, so cheaper than most single lenses!) and this year I got the Sigma 10-20 Ultra-Wide as a combined Christmas present from just about everyone.
I'M saving for the 105mm, it's my one personal bought lens for 2007 ;) and...
Actually start playing the other games, such as Rayman, Zelda, Monkey Ball and Madden NFL. Although I'm unlikely to get near them before Trauma Centre, Wario, Excite Truck, Mario, Wing Island, Elebits and Metroid come out.
Noise is unfortunately a side-effect of the Megapixel marketing race. 8MP+ on such small sensors are always going to struggle with noise, and the ones that don't seem so bad are often processed in-camera at the expense of overall sharpness.
Sadly most manufacturers won't "go back" to 6MPs or...
As above main thing is to hold them, I struggled with the 350D so I imagine the D40 may be a bit small/annoying for me as well, the D50 felt absolutely perfect, which is the main reason I went for it.
D40 only accepts AF-S lens (not strictly true, they work but only in manual focus mode) but...
Somewhere like London Camera Exchange is pretty good for second-hand stuff, depends if you have one nearby though.
I'm working my way towards a Macro Lens for my Nikon D50, this is as far as I've got with the equipment I have up until now...
Panasonic FZ20 (Bridge Camera) with Nikon 6T...
Yup FZ50 will be great, very very good camera.
On the slopes the lowest ISO will be fine, and a very fast shutter speed will be needed to freeze the action. I've never shot in snow so I'm not sure how a camera copes with so much white everywhere, you would probably need to make sure you focus...
Techniques:
The main thing to remember here is that rules are there to be broken, and secondly these are just techniques that I use personally, there is more than one way to crash a 172 Cup, after all.
Rule of Thirds
Not a rule at all, but more of a guideline that can often result in a...
I see lots of requests for some basic camera advice when people are getting started with slightly more advanced models (here and at work whenever people look at photos and say “how did you do that?”) so I’ve tried to condense it into one article for reference purposes. I don't pretend to know...
You can always rely on SimBin to destroy your digital racing ability in an instant though.
I hope they make it onto consoles in the future, GT Legends HD would be an experience!
Yep, I just leave it on standby overnight:
Green = Console On
Orange = Standby with WiiConnect
Red = Off
You can choose to have WiiConnect on or off in the settings menu. When in orange mode the disc tray will glow blue if you get an email.
I bought 5000 points using my card, got 2000...
Looks lovely...but the tyre squeeling sounds hopeless. That's the only problem with upcoming photo-realistic games, unless everything is as you would expect it should be in real life it kind of spoils the illusion.
Saying all that, I assume it still has shite AI and all the other usual GT...
