If i was to sell something on ebay, i would accept google, simple, its cheaper for sellers for a start and more secure for both seller and buyer.

Why would you need to involve ebay?

It just seems to work better with paypal. But i'll give google a go

It does make it easier, granted, but you sign away your rights and to reclaim monies back, it would seem, the only feasible way is to involve the Financial Ombudsman.

For the peeps saying what’s the point etc, in a sense, it’s no different to sending a cheque off a credit card (full consumer rights, charge back etc) but with out the cost or time of posting it.

If Google Base ever takes off and they make it a bit more user friendly Google Checkout may take off.

I'm sorry. Looks pretty banned to me...

My bad, i thought google had forced complience already. The specific points Paypal make, regarding accepted payments policy of G-Checkout are..

"the identity, background and other business interests of the payment service sponsor"
Along with....
"whether the payment service has a substantial historical track record of providing safe and reliable financial and/or banking related services."

Now, Paypal doesnt cover any of the above points, its only a matter of time before gcheckout is integrated within ebay.

lol, to be fair, it wasn't really their fault at the end of the day, i *sold* something to someone who used a nicked account to send me money, and then obviously the real owner of the account has logged on and seen that money has been sent that they havn't authourized, so its looking like im gonna be getting my fingers burnt :0(

That's one bad thing about paypal, that now ive got no way of getting the item back, and also not a lot of chance of getting the money for it, all because some stupid b**ch can't use a secure password.
