Is this a good camera deal?

Im after one of these SLR cameras, I am a bit of a 'noob' in the camera world but want to get started.

A mate of mine has one to sell, all the bits are brand new still in sealed boxes (basically an insurance job) hes offering the camera which is a Canon 400D, 18-55 lens, 55-200 lens, battery grip, hard case and 2GB CF memory card. He wants £350 for the lot...I'm not an expert on cameras but he says its a stonking deal...can anyone confirm this?
