well just got my set off mark fisher. Seems like a nice bloke with a bluddy ace car!!!
Just fitted them, off with the mud flaps, and work superb. Think the speedo under reads slightly but it handles lovely :)
BTW, what does the offset effect? also, BenR are u sure there wont be a slight...
Just another question.
Will phase 2 16v alloys have much effect on my speedo? i.e. will it over or under read? Also, are there any other downfalls except loss of acceleration?
And finally will improve handling much over the standard steelies?
Thanks

Is the offset for an RT 36? or is it something difference. I;m looking at a set of alloys of the following spec:
4x108 stud fitment, the off set is ET/40. The tires are 195x50x15.
Doest anyone know if these will fit or not?
Thanks

Hi all
Ever since ive had my rt its always made a rubbing noise from the front left wheel when reversing to the left, this wasnt a huge prob and i got used to it. Now, whenever i reverse to the right sometimes the whole car will judder, its hard to tell what wheel its coming from as its quite...
well on mine it is, u basically stick ur head under the front of the car, ull see the sump, and a cover which moves slightly. This is the gear box cover thats supposed to protect the linkage. If u cant see it look for a silver bar running up the middle of the car (no the exhaust :-p)
then...
yeah pretty much, it definitely makes a noticeable difference, especially in the lower gears. Il cut the plastic flap off eventually, im just testing it at the moment to make sure i dont cause any probs. So far, so good :)
yeah it aint as hard as it sounds. ive done it on mine a couple of time to change the bulbs. If you dont take your CD player be careful when you pull the unit out that the cables arent caught and get damaged. Apart from that its just a case of unscrewing and removing the whole unit. The heater...
I was under the motor this morning cleaning up the some and gear shield, and noticed the gear linkage at the bottom of the gear box was really sh*tty, oily and dirty. Is there anyway of cleaning this up? I dare use WD40 as itll knock all the oil and grease off.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi all
After getting a piperx element for me rt i decided to make a cold air feed. I didnt have much luck tracking down any ducting so decided to have a go with the existing one.
Firstly i detached the end from the tube that goes into the wheel arch. I then unclipped the flap that directs...
Hi
Im after some ducting for my clio. I wanna run a cold air feed to the air box instead of the existing one that goes into the wheel arch. Ive tried homebase and B+Q but they have naff all.
Anyone else have any recommendations? i dont wanna go to halfords and pay £20 for a piece of pipe...
Hi all
Ive got a very slight oil leak on my car. Its no that bad as it doesnt drip at all, its just the bottom of the engine is really covered. I was wondering if this could be related to having problems getting into 1st and 2nd gear? I heard it could be oil leaking onto the clutch plates from...
can always get a replacement element, doesnt effect insurance and will do a similar job.
Just got one for my RT, definitely made a difference. 0-60s have come down from around 11.5 to 11.1. This isnt just a one-off as i do this sort of thing 3 or 4 times a week so know for sure when a mod...
Would 16v brakes fit a phase I RT? If so are they hard to fit?
Thanks :)
Also, would it be ok to just upgrade the front brakes to 16v and leave the backs as they are or should the whole lot be done?
Thanks
