I bet a refurb would make a difference as well, my rears at the minute do f**k all. They can't even remove surface rust even with 50/50 bias with the ABS fuse pulled.
Going to refurb them and see the difference and if the rear pulls stronger then it's worth getting uprated pads.
@Niall did you replace the pistons with the rear caliper refurb or just get similar to the kit below and clean them up?

The Scenic has developed a fault when driving the NSR door open sensor/beeper goes off like the door has been opened. Also the alarm goes of intermittentley when locked.
Got to be the internal NSR door lock sensor right? Question is would CLIP pick this up? Heard Meganes can have the same fault?
Can be a bit tight getting the tabs into the hole, sometimes requires a little tap once you've lined it up Remember tabs in for negative camber and you can actually get it pretty even side to side if you have a good eye. Last few times I've done mine it's not needed adjusting at the garage...
Can't help on your issue but have recently had 197 cams fitted to an otherwise standard engine with filter and exhaust and it made 195hp and 171lb. Great cheap mod IMO.
If it's just a track car then you could remove a lot of weight which would make a huge difference and it's free. Shame to pull that apart though.
Tyres and brakes is where I'd start.
Love that shape scooby but IMO an AWD motor doesn't make a great track car due to the natural understeer and weight of them.
Don't get me wrong it'll be quick with decent tyres and pads but they just lack the fun factor of the little Clio's and it'll blitz through consumables compared to the...
I just use the basic racechrono app on my old iphone...see below just ignore the speedo as it needs better GPS attachments to get live speedo data. I don't even bother with the camera now just have the lap data. I just leave the phone in my glove box for each session and check times after. Some...
You can't compare a stiffened up light Clio to a fat arse wallowing A4. The issue will the tyres not being compatible with the suspension set up as above. My track car does it on road tyres in the damp.
How much is maintenance and repair though? These series the Clios race in have a fair amount of contact. Someone of here recently got took out off the line and sure it was cheaper to reshell with minimal rear quarter damage than repair...
Looks like an expensive hobby as a novice at the back or...
Yeah seen the Michelin slicks are mostly hard compound, S9 as you say. I wanted a soft for the rear and medium up front. Think Kumho do different compounds, might have to buy new though.
Don’t fancy a hard compound on the rear of a Clio. Currently use Avon ZZS wets (20 treadwear) on the rear...
If you're wear is in the centre then the pressures where to high hot. At the CSF Blyton recently my cold front pressures where 18psi after cooling down.
Presumably you didn't check hot pressure throughout the day?
See below..

I really would like one of these and at only £339 a month with £2k deposit it's not crazy expensive. It would mean getting rid of the Clio track car though which I know I'd regret once the new car buzz has faded.
No they're in a 170 above but will have been retro fitted, all older Ford's are very similar in layout and electrics. Its just a Clio is a totally different layout and electrics, they are big hefty seats as well and probably wouldn't even fit through the door, lol.
They aren't from a Focus ST 170 but from a Mondeo ST220, I know this as I've just fitted a pair into my Mondeo ST 155 and there's not a cat in hell chance they'd fit in a 182...no way!
My scorpion decat had a hole for the lambda and no eml light. I just couldn't get the fecker to seal properly from the centre pipe to decat. I went through 3 clamps and a full tube of loctite orange high temp silicone over the 6 months and it'd always start blowing again. In the end I just had...
