So over the winter I was like a little squirrel foraging parts left right and centre. Firstly I needed a set of front tyres as the 10 year old R888's where really worn after the abuse of the last track day and again searching through eBay came across a pair of 205/50/15 Kumho V70a tyres for a...
Best crack on with this then, as in the first post I've probably forgotten half the stuff I've now done but hey ho...Next up was Oulton again at the end of October...
Nothing really to report in the 3 weeks from Aintree apart from me getting rid of the passenger and rear seats, rest of the...
Ok so next up was Aintree beginning of October, again felt the novice group was still the right group for us. After Oulton I thought the suspension was feeling a bit tired so it was time for a refresh so bought new cup dampers and took at punt on ECP's AMAX 40mm springs for £30, these are...
So next up was Oulton in August and the Toyo's where starting to get worn, so searched ebay and found a bargain set of 888s for £100 with loads of tread. Only downside was they where 10 years old but again took a punt.
Few more mods again this time, used bargain set of CL5+ pads and scorpion...
Yep had similar mate. Sold my Galaxy note 2 is less than 5 minutes on ebay, then got the same scam mails, one from ebay one from PayPal with an email saying the funds are available for withdrawal once a tracking number is provided and item is sent to Nigeria. Rang PayPal and they confirmed its a...
Should have done this ages ago, not a great deal of pictures and probably forgot half of what's gone on but here goes....
Purchased the car back in January 2016 from a nice chap in Warrington, didn't come with much history but being fairly clean, low(ish) miles (101k) and a 182 FF I took a punt...
Defo go with the 197 cams mate, Carl has the timing down to a tee. Made all the difference at Oulton last time out in the slow corners as the extra torque sets you up nicely for the longer straights. I was 4-5mph quicker down the straight before Island bend compared to standard.
Just out of interest Simon how come you guys supply your kits for the Clio 172/182 with a stiffer rear spring? Whereas all other manufacturers go with the fronts a bit stiffer than the rears? Also do your kits come valved to suit the spring choice on purchase or are they a set valving to suit...
Defo best kit out there for under a grand IMO. And replacement front springs wouldn't be much for the prospective buyer as you say. I was dead set on them until a used set of AST's came up at a price I just couldn't let go, so now have the 4100's with 9kg front and 11kg rear springs, great on...
Looking good Niall, maybe a little too good for the abuse it receives on track, lol. Got a link for those bumper catches mate as mine isn't held on by anything ATM and I nearly lost it at Oulton last month after coming of after Cascades.
If its there cheap coilover set then yeah you could run standard rears as the springs are separate, but IMO the kit is rubbish and you'd be better with fresh shocks and decent lowering springs like Cooksports or Eibach, probably a bit late for that now though as you've already purchased them but...
I'm quicker on the pad with no TC and SC but with them set low on the wheel I smash the pad times, with TC and SC off on the wheel I'm useless, god knows who the guys with top times pedal them around with zero aids, its got to be in the set-ups.
Yeah I've had a few sets of the RS3's myself mate and they didn't last well at all, hence me looking for an alternative that doesn't cost stupid amounts for a road tyre. Begrudge paying £100+ for a derv daily that spends most of its life on the motorway.
Defo BC top mounts over PMS as the former are camber/caster adjustable. Good call on spring rate choice as well, I run 9/11 and it's fuckin horrendous!
Fully agree with all the above mate, I'm in online leagues but with family commitments I'm always missing the set time races. The open lobbies are ridiculous and I'm done with them as I'm getting Fifa levels of rage and just cant get my online score high enough to get in the limited licence lobbies.
Just to throw something a bit leftfield the Vredestein Ultrac Satin get very good reviews from users and will be a fair bit cheaper than the above. Gonna give them a go myself.

Really starting to do my head in online this game, its just full of idiots who actually go out of their way to crash into you, just don't get why the actually pay money for it.
