Yeh, forgot to mention that. Making it warmer for me helped, as I have a blue-ish tone.

I've got one, and there is a little bit of a cast. I haven't heard of any cameras auto correcting it. I just adjust in post, usually adjusting the colour sliders to make it look more natural. It's usually a slight blue hue to the photo, so easy to correct.

^What do you recommend for tyres?

    888 Tyre pressures

I start at 28psi, do several laps, come in and check, let air out if needed.

    Track suspension

Ideally you need to be taken out in a car with whatever suspension you're interested in. If you ever sway towards ASTs I would offer, but you're a tad far away ;)

    Track suspension

KWs get a good rep on here. ASTs not so, mainly because people drove them whilst they weren't set up properly. I was in the same situation as you, as AST are down the road from me I went with them. As you say, they aren't cheap, but my god the car handles epicly (new word). Everyone who's been...

Different coloured wing mirrors, yay or nay?

It will look a bit random JUST doing the wing mirrors. If you did the bullet text and diamonds etc then it might be better. But that's just me......

Just Crashed! Contains Epic fail - None declaring of mods, lol

    Oh dear.......lesson learned hopefully.

What's wrong with what you've got at the moment?

Brake Ducts - Pipe directly to rotor, or deflector plate?

lol thanks mate. Very much appreciated :)

Just Crashed! Contains Epic fail - None declaring of mods, lol

You've got to be trying very hard to get the ABS to kick in, or lock your wheels for that matter......on the road. Apart from on snow/ice, I've only ever had the ABS kick in a couple of times on track since fitting PF97 pads.

Burpspeed Version 2: Race Car Build

From what I've seen, they put quite a bit in for the practice session (which I think is 20mins, although I maybe wrong). See how much they used, and then for the 40min race would be roughly twice as much used. I think that's roughly how they do it, but I'm sure Tony or Jay would know better ;)...

Brake Ducts - Pipe directly to rotor, or deflector plate?

It was of a faff to re-position the horns and remove the carbon canister to get the tubing to reach the wheel arches.

Just Crashed! Contains Epic fail - None declaring of mods, lol

^lol I sort of did that too. You could see where it was always heading.....

Brake Ducts - Pipe directly to rotor, or deflector plate?

I've simply got some CAF tubing running from the fog light holes. I didn't bother with deflector plates. I would think a lot of air gets through, so it's better than nothing.

Yes, but it's people like him that cause them to go up.

Just Crashed! Contains Epic fail - None declaring of mods, lol

Re: Just Crashed! Why do people put threads like this up?! They crash because they've been driving irresponsibly, then admit to having undeclared mods AFTER having the crash....and expect sympathy. I'll look forward to my insurance renewal in October......

Sell standard parts? or save for resell?

Depends if you ever want to but it back to standard. I have my whole interior in my garage, probably destined for the skip as I can't be assed to sell everything.

I think that is what they are supposed to be RRP, but peeps on eBay sell them for higher as they know it's a rare item at the moment.

    BTCC @ Brands Hatch

Awesome shots, really nice to see motorsport pics with decent panning, and not cars static on the track.

    coilovers review

I got mine from AST themselves, they're based in the same building as Powerstation in Tewkesbury. Just down the road from me, so it was inevitable really.

    The next lens. Nikon.

If you want it for motorsport then VR isn't a big deal. It supposedly helps in panning, but I can't say I've really noticed. At 300mm+ then VR would be useful, but otherwise, just practice having a steadier hand ;)

    MacBook Pro Question

The RAM is in two slots. Just buy 2x 4GB crucial RAM and stick that in. Don't be a pansy about opening up your Mac, it's piss easy.

    Nick Hamilton's off (Brands Hatch)

Watched this on ITV4, shame really as it wasn't his fault. He didn't look bad behind the wheel, as the commentators said, very relaxed style.

    Euro Road Trip

You follow everyone off the ferry anyway, so just go with the flow. I thought it would be a bit daunting, but we never had any issues.

    172 Cup track car

Have you still got the standard steering wheel?!
  27. DanFreemanPhoto

    The next lens. Nikon.

I had the Nikon 18-200 as my first ever lens. As a general everyday lens, it was brilliant. BUT it's quite soft at the longer focal lengths, and not too fast either at f/5.6. The Sigma 100-300mm f/4 is a cracking 'entry' level lens, I had one, amazingly fast, sharp and not too big either.

Got Sportlines on your 182.... Can I please have your opinion?

I had sportlines, great in my opinion. I got them second hand, one of the best mods I did for the price.

    MacBook Pro Question

I got the i7, partly because it's not a part you can upgrade yourself and I want to keep this for a long time, so an i7 would help a tad. DO NOT GET RAM FROM APPLE!
