Got Sportlines on your 182.... Can I please have your opinion?

Guys,

Little question here.

Picked up my FF cupped 182 on Monday.

In short, i absolutely love it. Most of all i love the way it drives and handles. However, i would really like it a wee bit lower just because i think it will look better.
After a little digging it would seem that Eibachs Sportlines are the way to go on my OEM dampers. Dampers are tight as the whole car has only done 8k miles.

Im worried about fitting the springs incase i upset what is already a fantastic chassis just for the sake of looks.
What are your thoughts? In your opinon does the car drive better since fitting the Sportlines? Id be gutted to fit the springs and it not feel as good.

Cheers, Frayz :)

I love my Sportlines. Not on a 182 cup but on a 172 cup which is the same thing pretty much. Lowers the front by about half an inch and the back stays the same hight pretty much. Bit of a firmer ride then standard (but I think mine is firmer as I changed to solid top mounts as well at the same time). All in all they are very well recommend springs by most if not all who have Sportlines fitted on their clios.

had them fitted on my cup'd 182 for about 2years. Lowered approx 1" all round so it had the perfect ride height.

IMO the ride was a little crashy on standard dampers for my liking, there was no real initial give to make driving on bumpy roads comfortable before it firms up. it did cut out all body roll. I felt you needed to be a little more aggressive in driving style to get the feel and grip from the front end on initial turn in, whereas on standards I can always feel when it's got grip or when it's going to push wide.

Plenty of people have and highly rate them so maybe it's just me.
