Yeah thats what I was thinking :)
What are heatproof mats made out of? Like an asbestos based material I would have thought.
Not actually going to go through with it I was just interested in what material and would there be a benefit
Copper is an excellent heat conductor so would be no good for this instance unfortunately
To be honest I'm struggling to think of anything that would be suitable that wouldnt melt lol. The only thing I could come up with was some sort of ceramic meterial which wouldn't be cheap. Anyone think...
Can I ask why it isn't possible? I mean it doesnt need to be a flexible gasket there must a material you could use I'm just doing a bit of hunting around just for my own interest.

Now I was thinking could you have a gasket between head & manifold, I was trying to think of a material that would resist the...
Well if you look at it like this your going to get an inital charge for one panel of say 100ish (100 - 150 for big places) depending on where you go but the more panels you get done may cost an extra 50 pound as they will already have the paint and the equipment out etc so makes it easier.
Belt it some more? If your replacing them does it matter if they break?
I just used a 5lb block hammer. Just make sure that the new brake discs are the same before you f**k it otherwise your well screwed

This is the stuff I'm guessing but I'm sure youd pick it up cheaper somewhere else!
How much?!!? Call the police you just been merked!
edit: Sorry I though you put just the bonnet!
Both panels about 200 quid or 150 if you know someone ;)
As far as I was aware the Clio DOHC engines are pretty similar in that aspect (probably a little bit cheaper but its a similar process with the locking tools etc..)
