I have the Vertex 2E too. Rapid!
Start-up time on the HDD was 45-47 seconds. SSD time = 16-17 seconds.
Everything is instant on SSD too, once you get one you could never go back! I keep getting fed up with my work laptops that are normal HDD, keep forgetting they slower :(
Yeh Im not saying most of the photos will be rubbish, but if you've had no time to do any photography that day, you'll just find something in the house and quickly take a photo just to count as your 'one-a-day'.
Thats why a 52 is the most I would do. I've no idea what to do for this weeks photo...
I find it just negatively forces creativity, as you just end up finding random rubbish to photograph each day (not that the people who have done 365s have done that!)
I would never do a 365, only a 52 :)
Do it. I went SSD on my main drive on my PC and never looked back. I bought a third party SSD for my MBP and it's awesome (dont get Apples shitty expensive one btw!)
Thanks guys.
Filters used were the Lee Big Stopper and Lee 0.6 GND Hard.
Shutter speeds were around 15-30 seconds for the shots where the water looks cloudy, and around 1/10th for the last shots.
My filter got soaked on the last shot, just dried it off and back to shooting :)
The simplest lightsource is some sort of white torch, usually LED. Use a long exposure, like 10 seconds or more, and walk round the side of the car shining the light on the car.
Or....get a flashgun, with a remote trigger so you can place it on the floor somewhere aiming at the car.
Thanks to the motivation from my project 52, I headed out to Nash Point in Wales, which I've heard is a good spot for togs :)
