I was timing you in the afternoon along with others and you were going well, the silver turbo'd cup with cup reg was the quickest I timed at 1:14, then @Waitey 1:16 in the Caterham.
Agreed, It's very good for OE gear. Didn't like Blyton at first TBH, that first corner coming onto the track baffled me for a good few hours, there's little grip and it goes on forever, got it after a few hours and really started to enjoy the track after dinner. For a totally flat track it quite...
Good video mate, and gutted for you with the gearbox, looks like you where flying. What mods on the car? Managed a 1:18 myself, just didn't catch it on camera only on race chrono.
Yeah just echoing the above, thanks to all the organisers and all the drivers on track, the etiquette was excellent as was the organisation of the whole event, we'll definitely be coming back next year.
Gutted though as my sjcam didn't pick up a single video, so if anyone has any footage of my...
Mine does it, think bending the rear hangers would do it but just CBA. I've decatted mine but its a right pain to seal from the centre pipe to decat, had to weld mine up in the end.
Just thought I'd give a quick update on the DS1.11s, only driven around 20 min with them but wow, the pedal had really stiffened up, but progression is perfect and stopping power is very, very good. Will see how they perform on track now.
I've just bought a set of DS1.11 so will be interesting to see how they compare to all the other pads I've used, I'm expecting good things from them though, will review them against the likes of the RC5+, RC8, DS2500, M1155 etc once I've done Bylton this weekend.
I'll be up early as well mate, god damn my internal clock with the little fella getting up at 5-6 everyday. BBQ sounds good to me, think I'm bringing my drum BBQ for the weekend.
Didn't watch the video with sound, but looks like it's torque limited in lower gears. Get it mountune mapped, or other reputable tuner. It'll be limited from factory to minimise wear on drivetrain components.
I'm sort of hoping it rains a little on Saturday morning as I've not done a wet track day before, and there's no better track to learn wet weather driving with all the run off.
Yeah used to have a tuned Mazda 6 MPS which is similar in weight as an RS4 and lasted all of one track day before I sold it and bought the Clio, near double the costs of consumables compared to the Clio, bet the Audi is more than quadruple the consumable costs of a Clio.:tired:
