Another great weekend of racing in the Tricolore Trophy at Oulton Park. Saturday morning brought a cold damp and extremely foggy circuit. Pleased to qualify 3rd as it was very slippery and i didnt want to push too much.
Race1.
Got a good jump off the line but couldnt find a way through the 2...
Sold it as I didn't have the time or budget to finish it as I'd of liked. New projects coming for next season but all French for the Tricolore Trophy.

Not a lot going on as I wasn't racing at Combe last weekend. Next out in just over 3 weeks at Oulton Park. However I'm away on holiday for a week and then away working for 2 weeks so needed to prep the car this week.
Got all the usual stuff done, fluids checked, fuel done and had it on the ramp...
Its effectively just a saxo/106 pump with custom lines. Very similar to what my old x65 cup racer ran, located in the same place under the off side scuttle.

Our 'powers that be' are a bit lacks on that sort of thing. He does normally run in another series but would be nice for him to run the graphics if he's going to run with us again.

Just back from an eventful weekend at Silverstone in the TARC Tricolore Trophy. Such a great club with great members.
After the last race weekends problems i wanted to make the sure the new engine was healthy before getting to Silverstone soit was on the dyno at TDi North on friday, some small...
Standard bottom earth strap is still on mine + some 16mm2 cable from the oe earth point next to the passenger headlight to the gearbox mount cradle on to the engine block above the thermostat housing.

The reason the high resistance might disapear once running is it maybe picking up a ground through the ecu once switched on or something. If the fault went away when the jump leads were clipped all over the place then just replicate that in a neater more permanent fashion. I can do it at...
No need. Only thing you need to measure is resistance (ohms) between the engine casing and a known good earth if it's not very close to 0 then you've got issues. It's irrelevant if engines running or not. Only other thing to check is there's no issues with your battery cut off if it breaks the...
That's why I always over 'bond' everything. Easy way to check that though. Couple of jump leads clipped on the engine/gearbox to a known good earth or even battery terminal to eliminate that. Are the factory earth cables still present, main one being the one on the front of the subframe...
Welcome aboard Scott, saw your post on Tarc forum too. I'll be at Oulton park too so come and say hi and have a nosy at the car, class A Clio too.
