Well the expensive bits are on their way.
Pure motorsport ITB's, pure motorsport exhaust system and exhaust manifold, pure motorsport engine and gearbox mounts and pure motorsport clutch and lightweight flywheel.
Been stripping the subframe and hubs off the car tonight. Since I sold it it...
Been having a tidy out in the garage today, sold my house so need to pull my finger out and get 'Nicole' back into one piece.
Managed to get my Longacre wide mirror back from the 172 I built so refitted that.
Cleaned the rear discs up and refitted the rear wheels. Looks like one of the rear...
Well you know what I mean, standard internally bar ARP con rod bolts and just the usual exhaust with cams and bodies. £2500 is small change compared to what its cost to build. Full thread is HERE if you want to have a look, some big updates coming shortly when it all goes back together.

Changing 5th gear for a longer one is only a minor job that can be done in the car if need be. With this gearing the car will pull a genuine 133mph @7800rpm on 15's. There isn't that many places in the uk where we race that you'll need more than that in a Clio.
Russ
Would have to have a look at my data from my dash to be honest, the fastest lap that weekend was a 1.42 something but it'll go a fair bit faster as that wasn't fully dry and on R888's.
Russ
Thanks @1985michael172 that was a couple of years ago so should be a bit quicker now or will be once it's back in one piece. Will have to check which Cw/p it is but it's either the 13/59 or 14/60 mate.
Russ
Yeah that's mine, gearbox wise it's got the shorter Megane 5th gear and gripper diff + their final drive. Like mark says the 5.25 final drive will be useless and I suspect is (pardon the pun) geared towards the rally boys probably.
Russ
They great Colin, not sure how long they'll last on the front but can't fault them, no traction issues at all, maybe a little squishy on the limit but it shouldn't be driven like that on the road anyway. I've raced on the rainsport 2's in the wet and really like them and have a brand new set of...
Not at the minute mate, it's undergoing a bit of a mini restoration, or will be once I get some time/money! Should look identical to this, but with the better looking (imo) sunflower wheels.
Russ
Probably! I took the plates off originally as the intention was to put one of my cherished plates on but with it being off the road so long while my leg was broken it never happened hence why the tatty standard ones are still fitted.
Russ
Good news and bad news depending on your views. Looks like the car will be going in the next few weeks to a friend, means I'll still get to see it from time to time.
Had a good out in it on Friday after work and then was awake early this morning so took it out for a 90 mile run and was home for...
On the ramp tonight for a general spanner check.
Adjusted the exhaust too as there was a little rattle around the tailpipes.
Done the wheel alignment too as it's obviously had the subframe and suspension in bits, new arms fitted etc.
Took a few pics on the way home too.
Russ
Put a few miles on the car yesterday. Never got any nice pics but did fix something that's been on the list.
There's meant to be a pipe from the throttle body to the standard dump valve and canister purge valve. I've got neither of those so done away with the pipe too. I made up a small plastic...
To save people reading through the full thread just thought I'd put the full spec up here.
-2009 RS200 FF with Cup pack
-Glacier White
-Optional satin black Speedlines
-Optional Cup Rear Spoiler
-Optional Recaro Seats
-2007 F4Rt R26 engine and Ecu with modified loom. New cambelt kit inc water...
Cheers mate, not sure how further the cars going to go to be honest as I'll probably be just using it for a while before selling it probably. Having had 3 months off at the start of the year hasn't done the bank balance much good so probably wise to move it on and get my Racecar rebuilt and...
The wiring isn't a big deal really only a few plugs to swap over. Not sure what the 197 wiring is like but can't see it being any different from a 200.
Russ
Yeah no worries plenty of info around but roughly as follows. Btw it's probably far easier with a donor Megane as there's always loads of little clips, hoses, pipes, sensors etc that are missing and mates it an expensive task.
-Clio 197/200 base car
-Megane 225/230 engine inc all ancillaries and...
