How do you manage that leg break ? alcohol ? :tongueclosed: there's far to many wheels !
Nothing exciting, literally fell over! Managed to break it that badly that I don't actually need a cast on it because there's that much metal in it!How do you manage that leg break ? alcohol ? :tongueclosed: there's far to many wheels !
Sounds painfull if its that full of metal, my son had a spine op last october - 2 x 300mm titanium rods and 18 screws at £400 each the surgeon said the screws were £40 each the rest was legal fees etcNothing exciting, literally fell over! Re. The wheels I've cut down from 4 sets to 3 this year.

Not quite to that extent! One rod from knee to ankle and 6 screws I think. Doubt mine is titanium either, probably raw mild steel knowing Carlisle hospital!Sounds painfull if its that full of metal, my son had a spine op last october - 2 x 300mm titanium rods and 18 screws at £400 each the surgeon said the screws were £40 each the rest was legal fees etcpenmouth:

Well the expensive bits are on their way.
Pure motorsport ITB's, pure motorsport exhaust system and exhaust manifold, pure motorsport engine and gearbox mounts and pure motorsport clutch and lightweight flywheel.
Been stripping the subframe and hubs off the car tonight. Since I sold it it looks like it's sat in a damp garage until I got it back so a lot of the front end bits have corroded so they're getting plated or powder coated.

Had to take all the subframe off and take everything off it, wishbones, rack, hubs, arb etc.
Bearings needed pressed out of the wishbones and bottom bearing holder, new ones inc circlips are on order.
View attachment 1331541
Just pressed the bearings out in the vice as I wasn't going to the workshop to use the press just for that! I do need to for the wheel bearings however.

Bottom bearing holders looking scabby

And everything ready for plating once I've pressed the wheel bearings out.

Hopefully you can leave mine alone now!
Just the usual Colin, 215-220bhp ish hopefully.Very nice Russ , what are you expecting from the engine power ?
Dont Pure claim about 240 from their full engine package?Just the usual Colin, 215-220bhp ish hopefully.

You're welcome mate, any time. :up:Got some more bits done today. Got the oil cooler and radiator mounted, radiator hoses all refitted. Oil catch tank and hose refitted. Gear linkage connected up with new bush and circlip fitted + patented dab of silicone over the circlip to stop it falling out!
Got the exhaust fitted too, may need some fettling but it's on for now.
Forgot to post a pic the other day of the hubs once I'd striped them for plating. All the roll centre bits needed removed. Thanks to Mark @NorthloopCup for the pointers.

Got some bits to sort on the loom before I can refit that and hopefully the bits I'm waiting on will be here Tuesday/Wednesday. Could potentially be up and running towards the end of the week.

All the existing windows were P4P but I thought I'd see what ACW were like for the new fronts as they're literally just flat sheets. They seem decent quality and fit well anyway.Nice work! Which windows did you go for? I've been looking at a set recently.
Thanks mate, hopefully it'll be back to full health very shortly, a touch lighter and with a touch more power. This has always been my favourite Clio 'race car'.....drooled over it last time when you had it for sale. Awesome attention to detail with all the right bits on it and done to such a high standard! Nice work
No cheap Chinese stuff here, only expensive Chinese stuff!Thats a baller £200 steering boss!
Plan for now is to get it mapped and possibly a test a croft and try to push for an entry in cscc tintops at Oulton at the start of october. As far as next year goes I'm not sure yet, all depends on houses. What's the plan @Russ Rallye or not got one yet until she is running?
After loosing the circlip and bush at cadwell and hence all gears in quali years ago I've run it like this ever since.Great idea I'm the silicone on circlip I'm stealing there.
Did you take any Pics of oil cooler mounting?
Wrong part sent by Jenvey and hubs weren't ready to collect so guess we'll try again tomorrow! Why can't people just do their job properly!
Russ
Jenvey you suck! That is all!
