Thanks for the help as usual guys, that's my job when I get some spare time this weekend.
I'm quite enjoying being able to give it all a proper deep clean, it's turning around quite nicely so far.
Hi all
Well this sunday saw the 2014 Mega Mini Meet at Lytham hall.
I was down there with the guys from the fylde mini club who are really a small bunch of friends who have some great cars. The day was brilliant, the sun was a nice change over the last few years, great turnout as usual aswell...

I have never had to do an engine bay that is so dusty before (it's 10x worse in person), I'm assuming degreaser on the block and G101 on the tubes etc maybe? rinse off with the pressure washer on...
Yes I did however the lady I spoke to on the phone said she wouldn't be able to compete with greenlight, I was very impressed with her service though as I had to hang up whilst on hold due to a fire drill at work and she phoned me straight back on my mobile which was a nice touch!
Just a quick note to say thank you to Greenlight for their service when I phoned up for a quote.
Unfortunatley after giving the car a good once over I won't be insuring it just yet (maybe july/aug) as I have a few mechanical jobs to see to which take priority however I will definitley be...
Many thanks, I used the code too, I can't see there being many Da's out there for sub £100 that could compete to be honest.
in terms of seeing the transformation after 2-3 passes it was quite clear it was working so it was just a case of finishing off the cutting passes (4-5 I think it was)...
Thanks. :) that was mezerna 2500/3000 on an orange lake county pad, which is now ruined by the looks of it! Then tripple and toughcoat on top.
Very happy with the outcome though.
on a side note anyone thinking about upgrading a das6 to the pro version get it done, very impressed with the machine

it's for a mk1 mx5, it's 21 years old now so comes in over the 20 limit that most have in place, the forums seem to say greenlight or adrian flux who Im hoping to get onto today.
I don't know which way to take that haha nah I turned 24 last month :)
It appears that will be the case yes :(
Hi all
just wondering if anyone had any reccomendations for classic car insurance
companies to try?
i really wanted to go with greenlight as they seem to be highly thought of but I'm not 25 which is one of their criteria.
I'll be phoning flux tomorrow, any other companies you have had...
Todays job was to give the car a good clean and start doing a couple of bits and pieces.

I started off by trying (and failing) to remove the luggage rack, one snapped bolt head and another rounded off torx bit (I hate these things) and it is still well...

That should feel like a rocket ship after rolling around in that then, it was great fun climbing back into mine after just a week in the focus each time.
The clutch takes some getting used to again though :dead:
