    Power Steering Union Leak

Put a new seal on it and a very small thin amount of PTFE tape on the thread . Make sure it's absolutely 100% clean and dry , tighten it up and bobs your uncle hopefully. If it still leaks then it'll be the pipe that fooked

    Rear disk thread failing.

These were Micky mouse studs before I purchased the PMS ones , never had an issue . I can relate to you guys saying that the studs undo and then the nut needs retightening and in doing so eventually pulls the last bit of the thread out . My studs have an Allen key in the centre , so I guess...

More steering lock on one side than other

Fair enough . The principle still applies . Find the centre , which will be a lot easier now as it can't be moved , so the track rod ends have to adjusted to create the centre point. Find a decent tracking centre , explain your concerns and then they should be able to sort it. Good luck [emoji6]

    Big puff of smoke. Why?

A mate of mine had oil consumption issues , he replaced the top cover on the inlet and it sorted it .

More steering lock on one side than other

Raise the vehicles front wheels off the ground , then proceed to loosen the steering wheel , remove the airbag if you have one . You say to much lock one side . So the side that has to much lock , the wheel needs to be removed ever so slightly just to release the splines and moved 3 splines in...

More steering lock on one side than other

Yes that could affect it , but only by a very small amount . I suspect the tracking adjustment is the culprit. What you need to do is find the centre of your rack. Are you in the know how to do your own repairs - or do you have someone do it for you ?

Your steering rack needs centralising to remedy this

anybody with an RS2 have their coilbracket break like this?

Yes I know you mean that one , you finger is covering the vac take off outlet to the left which goes to the canister [emoji1303]
  20. B

anybody with an RS2 have their coilbracket break like this?

No . The vacuum sucks the oil vapour only via the small hole which is now blocked . The larger oval that flows into the inlet is only for the charcoal circuit, two mix at that point as the inlet sits over both .
  21. B

anybody with an RS2 have their coilbracket break like this?

The large one can be left open , because all it goes to is the charcoal canister and mine has been removed . So nothing goes through there any more . Probably got spiders [emoji887] in there now [emoji23]

anybody with an RS2 have their coilbracket break like this?

The small hole which the Ph1's have , all I have done is filled it with solder to seal it .

I recently took mine apart , had the spindle shaft out and cleaned it all up as it moved sideways . The graunchiness at the beginning of part open throttle has gone completely , and I am positive it'll be ok , but I won't know if it's ok until I've fitted it .
