You engine is not an F4R
It is an F7R , slightly different setup for a Clio from 98-2005.
I suggest trying to find the wiring diagram for that specific engine era and then can work out what goes where.

So poss a Clio valver loom then ?
If the ecu is in a plastic box , the valver had that type and used to sit under the scuttle osf.
Trying to find the wiring diagram for that car I think maybe a start .

This loom looks like it’s off an early Renault going by the connections.
Pre 99 or there abouts.
What ecu are you going to be using ?

It sounds like a classic turbo failure .
I’d deffo not advise 3k rpm with no oil feed [emoji2357]
@ idle would have been fine .
Another one you can try is , remove the turbo exhaust elbow and see if the oil is escaping from the bearing and into the exhaust .
Generally if the impeller...
Because boosted cars are in the end trouble and strife .
I’ve had my Clio 13yrs N/a had RS2 and now ITB’s and it’s a track car and I can honestly say it’s been very reliable and strong .
I’d dread to think [emoji848] what would : could happen if I boosted it .
I would have a drive of someone...
When ever a turbo car smokes , the first rule of Diagnosis is to eliminate the turbo , so by removing the oil feed pipe to the turbo and linking it back to the return ,also you will need to stop the turbo from turning somehow.
So now when the engine is running you have bypassed the turbo , so...
I’m assuming your using everything out of the Clio ?
Dash harness & Engine harness ?.
No their isn’t just a loom to buy , you will need to make it from the loom you have.
I cut up and wrapped a couple of laytex gloves around the gaiter and used spay glue to bond it to it .
Seems like it’s working.

I’m not so familiar with the Gen 90 , as I have the ME221 ecu fitted.
I run a WideBand controller with the wires from it , one feeds into the narrowband which the voltage from the controller reduces , iE this would keep the ecu happy .
Now if the gen 90 does have its own controller built in...
I’ve seen it before , and on my track car also .
Seems a weak spot for sure .
Yes welding a plate on will see it right.

After reading this unfortunate post , and seeing plenty of honda cats being stolen , I took the liberty of removing mine today .
Thieving scum.

Looks like the Jack has slipped .
Easily replaced .
I would pull off that skirt and look underneath it for any further damage.

Had my PH1 13 years in April.
Will be keeping it as it’s had a whole heap of love and money put into it over the years .
Have a second one in the garage . Been in there 6 years . Dare to look at it .
Totally agree with you , so much easier with the engine out .
This time around , not an option .
So literally just purchased this one to replace a broken item.
I have version 171 and mine ran out as well. [emoji2357]
Can you guys confirm that when yours ran out on end of 2020 , what version were you running please .
I was running version 170 , and I see the last available download was 183.
