All monotubes use shim valves.
With suspension, nobody, anywhere, not even Adrian Newey could set it up spot on for you if you only allow them to base their educated guesstimates on simple information you give them.
Their ability to correctly supply a valved damper depends on how much...
£50 a corner yes.
They can valve to whatever you want from new or during the rebuild. But with the 28 point adjustment on their base units (twin remote units can have 28x28x28), valving for most people isnt an issue as you can play with over 100lb/" spring rate change before you really have to...
The real problem is subjective and ill informed opinions.
They arent made out of the best materials, they dont emply tig welds, and other show factors, simply because they dont have to.
One thing that people forget to even consider is damping which is the primarly concern of a damper...
"There is a point, however, where bias and being opinionated leads to error and
untruth, because one is so adamant to advance one's own viewpoint that all the

what is all this b****cks being spoken?
If he broke your last engine, tell him you want the same engine code from the same year cliosport. Tell him you dont care if they are hard to find, but he broke it, he buys you a new one......the end.
Dont dick around with suggestions like...
lol, yes......replacing the front panel, some minor repairs to inner wings, boot floor, drivers floor, sills, fibreglass bonnet and boot, 21 point cage (fiestas are made of jelly), all new suspension pickup points and geometry, new design rear axle, respray, grp2 racing arches, 8x13" wheels...
Would i?
Yea..........i've currently spent about 10k on my 1982 MK1 fiesta and it still has a stock engine in it!
I have more fun on the odd days that it would be used in anger than the lads who spend £200 every weekend at clubs.....which over a year is 10k........and all they get for it...
