i'm no basketball player.........well maybe point gaurd lol.
But the bench was built high so i dont have to hunch when porting, thats the dust extracted dirty room so its a bit rough in there.
stroke it, stroke it and stroke it some more.
dont take material off the block or you'll end up with a teeny quench depth and start smacking the piston into the head.
head can be skimmed alot, depends how good you are at controlling cam timing.
Could almost say that, in all honestly i said he would be bearing the brunt of what is 'development' cost, so i said if he makes a sale of the same item i'll give him comssion so he can make some back. Only fair i thought.
you can increase the CR for next to free by skimming the head 40 thou (1mm), netting 12.36:1 CR.
Not always the 'ideal' thing but certainly cheaper than stripping a whole block and rehoning, running in, cost of parts and labour just for a nominal bump in compression.
it'll affect the torque spread.
Peak torque will be moved up a few hundred rpm, but spread figures will still be slightly higher than stock. Problem is the space, which is why renault curled the manifold around the engine to get some length in, but if you want a straight runner you dont have...
Re: RR results for 1*2s
ok not real stabbings.........but forum wars go on and on and on....they wont even accept RR info from the UK as we dont use their stupid inertia RR's.
Re: RR results for 1*2s
you should see what its like in the states.....their arguements on which brand RR to use and having to have SAE correction and smoothing levels etc lead to stabbings.
IMO, what most people are forgetting to note is that there is a power ceiling.
you cant just keep pushing power on what is a horrible inlet manifold.
On stock cams your going to hit a wall at circa 190-ish simply because you have a capped timeframe for air to enter the cylinders, you can...
