The head is CNC'd, from my flow development there are virtually no gains from 'tidying' up, alot of work needs to be done to considrably change the port to make a difference.
Easiest and cheapest gains are not from porting but from a decent (read NOT 3 angle) seat job as this requires so...
lol, sorry guys but i've just been on about a new inlet for years and finally in the final weeks so i dont want it to be spoilt.
All will be revealed soon, it wont be cheap as a single 'item', but then again it wont be expensive for comparative costs vs gain.
I would buy the inlet for £7...
S1600 regulations require a single throttle body where in earlier years they were allowed 1 throttle per cylinder.
And i've stopped developing anything, i dont even bother thinking anymore, just stand round intellectual people until they say something clever.
was gonna say........if its dry you'll want to book an onsite tyre change on the same day :P
just joking, i'll be a total pussy cat and wont drive like ross.
i'll be wearing my arm bands so you'll be able to see and avoid me easily enough.
i've always wanted to swim with the ducks but have always been told i'd have to go to florida.
you could say that, but its a bit more complex.
The plastic plenum design is apalling, so it will limit things.
Also your struck with a small dilemma regarding the port sizing/matching issue.
The cylinder head is not CNC ported like the 1*2's, so will benefit from modification, but...
If your really in N.E Fife then its a bit of a trek!!! lol
But as with mini-valver i would be willing to help on a day off as its not a terribly taxing job if spread over half a day.
Its not matched to the gaskets, far from it, if it was you'd loose performance, its not like the 172. But...
You got springs already?
pop over when you want, just make sure to call first!
And can we take bets on the 6 month thing?.......dont you have a house to buy or something lol.
AND DIBS A GO!
Ironic that I picked the cleanest and earliest phs1 172 manifold as it has a larger more consistent bore, along with the plenum with zero scratches or dirt, then spent twice as long on it.
I think its called something like the logarithmic scale of irony.........try twice as hard and get half...
lol, long johns are what you need!
You can try another pipe if you want, nothing will happen regarding the carbon canister eitherway......but you'll have to take the headlight out again as the connection on the canister end is a bugger.
