40D and a load of change for a lens or 50D, xxD series are real nice to use and hold compared with xxxD and a real step up.

Windows 7 x64 I don't want to copy the primary drive over to the new disk, partly because it would be 120GB > 60GB!

100% crop is taking a section of the photo at actual resolution but I've just seen you have full res images on flickr [except the iphones that are private?] Having a look they aren't eye popping sharp 'strike a pose' could just be a combination of dull light, minor hand shake and software skin...

Yeah doesn't look like hand shake, have you done some sort of skin smoothing on the ipad? I don't really see a problem but hard to tell without zooming right in.

Post an original from the camera that hasn't been through your ipad, if you can also take a crop @ 100% in the focus area that'd really help. Looking at the EXIF the shutter speed is borderline for handheld at 50mm.

Pretty sure this is dust on the sensor, it will only show up at tiny apertures. Take a photo of the sky @ f/22 & throw on some contrast to see how much is on there. Stunning shots of the city btw! :approve:
