Takes a couple of minutes to get over it but I don't see why anyone would buy an iPad now! I guess that's a reason apple didn't go retina in mk1, then there really would be little point. How'd I live without one of these :clown:
Spent ages comparing side by side on various websites, YouTube vids and games and retina display would be nice and an inevitable v2 upgrade in a year but not a fan of the iPad size so have a new shiny 32gb black mini :D
The screen sounds off putting but in the flesh I'm sure it's still great, gonna try and have a play with one at the weekend. iPad is too big personally.
hmmm might get one of these, not a fan of the full size version, too big for surfing slouched on the sofa.
Is it in stock in many apple stores? The website has a 2 week wait.
Have only shot film with a Lomo a couple of times, nothing spectacular! The store in Carnaby street does events where you sometimes get to take a camera out for a couple of quid.
Not sure but AFAIK you can use your iPhone to live view in the new app, not much need for a back anymore..

My HD1 is essentially worthless now!
17-55 f2.8, was epic on my 40D.
What long lens depends on what you shoot. Used to also have the 70-200 f4 non IS, was always a spot on.
Once you've got two quality zooms I'd consider adding a nice prime but again, depends entirely on what you shoot.
Can't really comment, only have a GF3 and 20mm and it sure as hell can't compare with a 40D + 70-200L. Did manage to snap the Olympic road racers but this was on a wide lens, much harder to miss focus.
Once you go XXD I don't see you ever wanting to go back.
I'd rather shoot my old 40D than a 650D. Forget touch screen, I have that on my GF3, its nice but you can't beat heaving the extra dials and bigger body. I'd be inclined to source a 50D and spend more on glass.
Canon are a bit late to the party, sold all my Canon DSLR kit a year ago for m43! Shame as this would have been quite tempting. The 22mm f/2.0 looks half decent and very compact. Better than anything Sony seems to offer and no slouch compared with my 20mm f/1.7 be it a little wider.
Stunning, makes me wish I hadn't ditched my SLR, shooting fast cyclists with a M43 camera was hit and miss!! Mind you, you are also far more skilled than I ever was!
It is everest if you are me :rasp:
This was from Richmond park:
Wiggo with Cav a few back..
Camp man in purple shirt mincing...
The Non-HD or the HD v1?
I'd give the Non-HD a miss, the HD1 is pretty damn good and should be smooth enough mounted in a car. The HD2 should be superb.
LOL that it tiny but as said, it's always the first that hurts. I'd not take it back mind.
I've got Gelaskins on my Apple bits [ok my iPhone] and would get the same for an iPad. http://www.gelaskins.com/
Surely thats the point, if high res shots were available other people would start selling canvas etc. Professionals need to protect their intellectual property. It's hardly ridiculous, if you want the shots pay for his/her time. It's no different to all the people who come on general chat and...
There is a lot of choice, some of the new exciting ones like the pro 1 and em5 are pricey but have a look around for something like a nex 3 or 5, Olympus pen or Panasonic gf1,2,3.
It'd be a tough call between the Fuji X1, Pani GX1 and Oly EM-5 that comes down to IQ, price, lens availability and size. I'm sure they are all terrific, good enough that I no longer give DSLRs a second thought.
