Its not a standard engine you need, just a one that's been put together properly! No high comp fanciness in mine and it probably wants the stem seals going but it goes ok.
Hopefully we'll all be out together at oulton if tony gets his car back, or maybe that's wishful thinking!

What happened at the weekend guys? I was spectating at Donny and saw you had problems, didn't get a chance to come and say hello as I was with the mrs + little one.
Russ
Some good racing mid pack with you and the other clios and 106, very enjoyable to watch from a spectators point of view. Glad the car is going in the right direction. See you at Cadwell.
Russ
Well done Adam, Really enjoyed watching this weekend I do wish i was racing though. Nice vid, great to see Tony Hunter battling away in the 106 in the first few laps.
Russ
Seen jamsports work first hand on a friends sc'd fiesta ST, shocking doesn't cover it, install was poor to say the least and the map it was running was terrible.
Russ
I get all my bits at cost +5% which is staff discount at my local renault dealer so prices are a little lower than they would be but think they were £76 exchange to me which is cheaper than circa £90-£100 for some budget part at ecp's.
Russ
Not a lot been happening since the 'donington dramas'. Obviously we needed to sort the alternator issue out so it was stripped down again, not a big job now with no pas in the way, just the air filter and trumpets to remove.
Bought x2 brand new alternators from Renault, I suggest anyone...
Awesome stuff tony, I think we should all chip in for Ian's 106 and keep it as a spare car for the series, either that or make it compulsory to do at least 1 race in it! Will the clio be sorted for silverstone?
russ
Keep getting messed about on here so anyone that's got a genuine valeo/Renault non cup alternator give me a shout, must be in excellent working order, the newer and lower mileage the better.
Thanks
Russ
Well either way that's a no no as they stretch anyway + I have NEVER fitted a normal bolt instead of a proper bolt, there's no need I probably still have spares in amongst all my parts now. If you need Ian's number for the gearbox just let me know. In fact that box hasn't been 'rebuilt' it was...
Box has been done by Ian @ engine and gearbox services Workington Cumbria, he does all my boxes for road and race and has done for 10 years, I wouldn't use anyone else. If there's a problem with the box and something is at fault to do with Ian's workmanship he'll sort it and that goes for my...
Good news! Unfortunately I won't be at snet to see you in the mirrors Tony, will be living it up in Marbella that weekend, good luck though, try and keep those 205's and Simons Saxo honest.
Russ
It had new genuine pug pinch bolts last time I had it in bits when I owned it as I don't cut corners when building my cars. I believe the guy that bought it from me has had the gearbox out so its obviously been done then.
Russ
Sh1t! That could of been very nasty, take it you weren't going that fast at the time? I'd be having words with the guy you bought it off tbh, assume they've just used a normal low tensile strength bolt instead of a proper pinch bolt?
russ
Glad you enjoyed yourself mate, you certainly didn't disgrace yourself either, didn't look like your first race that's for sure. Im
glad tony and I persuaded you to get out there instead of waiting until next year. See you at silverstone/Cadwell/oulton, I won't be at snet either.
Russ
I'll be carrying a spare from now on Pete, I know a few others that have had issues, tony and Ian included so I should of known better really! As for the clutch, I don't have a rest and I find I'm changing gear all the time anyway. My heel is on the floor anyway so it's not uncomfortable.
The...
