Used RaceGlaze aluminium cleaner along with brass wire brushes to clean up the metal.
Used VHT Paints engine enamel range (primmer and top coat) it was their aluminium coloured one. Theyre not cheap but I like them. Hycote have their own range which is good and half the cost. Found their...
Yeah that's from overheated pads. It's the pad material meted onto disc from the heat, normal driving will soon clear it up provided pads aren't too bad, as you've said inspect them and see how they look.
Had similar when running DS2500's. Have you got any brake ducts fitted or look at running...
No worries. The Deox C stuff is amazing.
I'm not overly happy with zinc coatings as they don't seem to last especially when you factor grit and water. I tend now to key zinc coatings now and paint over them for extra protection.
If you can get them zinc coated for good price I'd be tempted to...
I used VHT Paints range of engine enamels to prime and top coat the hubs but have tried other products and Hycote Aluminium Paint is very similar for lot less cost, think they've got their own range of engine enamels too.

Think theirs are the most similar I've seen too Mark.
@JonC219 Been through my old PM's and it's M4D M4X that made them, might be worth PM'ing him if he has anything left.
Thanks Tony :)
They're ones guy on here, Damien (cant' remember his username) made in a group buy here 3-4 years ago. He used the genuine cup racer ducts design but mouleded them onto standard foglamp surrounds so they fit tidyer than the cup racer ones and needed minimal cutting of the bumper. The original...

Winter 2014
Not much happened but got on with a few little jobs to tidy it up end of last year.
ENGINE BAY
With me not using it every day anymore oxidisation of the bare aluminium parts was even more apparent than it has been. With me having bought all the paints 6+ months ago I got on with...
Found it a perfect match. Used the touch up kit in my Clio and used an aerosol on little brothers car where I had to spray only bumper and looked perfectly matched.
I'd recommend them Jamie.
Autopaint - St. Helens is another that's great but not sure they're still going anymore.
Think it was this thread iirc http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=217520&highlight=stone+chip
Also found this one that uses similar technique http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=153965&highlight=stone+chip
Thanks Mark, looking into planning engine work on mine for the future. Hope you won't mind in fututre me racking your brains when I get to the engine on mine :)
How different are the 172/182 heads to the 197/200? Would it be possible to machine/port the 182 to flow as well and be as effiecient as the 197/200 would be if that were ported etc, or are they quite different in design?
Yeah that's the ones from Mark. All exposed parts have been spray painted on the hubs along with some of the zinc coated parts for extra durability from rust and to give an OEM look.
And yeah those are the 280mm brembo brackets from Chris.
Brakes look great. Looking into doing same on mine.
Let me know how they get on on track please, I've currently got same setup you had before them (pagid blues)
Remember theres about 3/4 different offset variants of the 2118(2020) for clios. Im sure even between the alluminium alloy ones there'd be a decent differance. My 'heavy duty' Palmer spec ones are pretty much iirc about same weight as my standard Turinis.
