If your going down that route you may want to get a stright pipe post cat type and a mod to the scorpion centre to take it. The olive joint is pants tbh.
Annoying little job today, roof aerial. Car came with a chromed affair. Decided to launch it. All was going well till it came off with the mounting thread and all. Upshot was new base was required.
Fiddly little job swapping them over but got there in the end. Bit of extra sealant to make...
Cheers @SharkyUK . I really want to tidy/swap the arb and power bush it. It cosmetically a bit tired. To be honest that's then nearly me done and it's time to save some pennies for the long term bits.
Yep like the avatar too. It's it meant to be symbolic? ;)
Got to imagine this is the only s/c PB of the 29?
Shame to let it go mate.... If hadn't just bought a trophy this would have been very very tempting. All the best with whatever decision you make.
Utter Class mate,
So can I double check.. R26 Megan callipers have the correct bolt spacing? Rather than having to use 197 brembos with adaptors?
The machining was that just for the 15"s? Or would it be necessary on 16"?
Love the attention to detail.
Out of interest, what is the temp that its suposed to kick in at? I have an code reader with live data so can watch the engine coolant "suggested" temp from the sensor but never seen or heard the fan.
You lads know what the trigger temp is?
Cheers

Cat has indeed tamed the Piper. Looking at getting the Cat to centre flange removed for a straight pipe.
So good bit of Sunny Easter drive work.
Sandwich plumbed in
with piggy back fuse
Spa In the R-Racing Pod. Now to work out what to set everything too.
Oil and filter...
Hi All,
Asking for a friend whos little boy is sensitve to daylight. Basically he is looking to tint the rear windows in his 14 plate civic. These are electric windows in a 5 door car not solid 3 door ones. Last time I tried to tint windows involved a Nova in 1996 :)
Just wondering were is...
Hi @haimsey, electrical wiring isnt too bad. I was suggested piggy back fuse err.. thinginy. to save cutting into the looms somwhere.
by another member, with the added bonus of a sperate fuse for the SPA (it actually has its own one apparently). So i wired it over to a switched live in the...
Just reunited T120 with somthing I dont believe she has seen in years.. An actual Renault Cat . Hopefully tame the Piper down a bit too.
New front Lambda also fitted,. So pleased that the 22mm ring spanner goes just over the connector which allows you to thread the spanner all the way...
So still working out the gauge plumbing but it's coming along.
first load of parts from renault are here. No ARB unfortunately. No idea what's going on with that
.
New whishbones, springs, cup shocks for service. Loads of new bolts.
Main job and what a pig. Rear abs sensor. Still...
So not much to add at the minute, we wait. Renault France has apparently had Adam's boot up the arse and there maybe daylight.
In the mean time. Another item that had been bought for the 182 but made its way to the trophy. Always wanted "a gauge" mates always had them on their toys back in...
Hi Folks,
Out of interest what is the best cable route from theA pillar to the oil filter? I am using the spa guage so it has some beefy connectors that I don't want to cut off just yet. It's not a track car, just a bit of fun so dash is full intact.
Any advice welcome
Chis
Looks good mate and its your car at the end of the day. For me the wrap around seats are a little OTT unless it's a track car.
Just wish the damn sabelt renault steering wheel wasn't blue. ;)
Mine went on my drive,
Rang Birchdown and they advised me not to drive it as it would likely have covered and ruined the aux belt with pas fluid.
And when that goes/slips, It can end up in the timing belt.
So I would be careful.
Or.. Just stiffen your back, yet again. God knows you clearly have skill in that dept, Andy.
Point at it and shout" you are going to fecking Rev Big you red piss of s**t!"
And build the car of your dreams.
Donor engine to get the car running. Run that for a year. Shake it down to the nth...
That really wasn't the update I was expecting.. So sorry, how much can be saved?
Just throw a standard in there and enjoy the car? can't you imagine you will though going back to square one. Though would a least be able to start enjoying the car everyday. I really don't know how mental your...
Quiet weekend car wise. Still waiting for the big order to come in.
Still always looking to progress.
Thanks to @JonnyGee for helping with a meet and a few bits for mine and a mates car.
Up shot is after Steve from Birchdown spotted the rear coils were snapped, I brought forward sourcing a...
class mate,
not sure whats been fitted to my trophy but its long! i like the correct parts for critcal things.. handbrake cable can be made from mtb parts for all i care :)
Cheers Alastair,
The proper way is probably a step too modded for the car. If it was a stripped track car then in a heart beat.
Looked at the omp/cobra option the other day, obv track cars loose the pretensioners mounts. I still need to keep it. The cobra one looked like an option as I could...
Correct Jon, fixed position. Will leave the passenger side standard. It's not a car I ever intend to have rear passengers in even though it is still a road car. The passenger seat is only staying so as not too look to mental..
Figure the 10mm I gain from your mounts over trophy ones plus say...
