Hi mate,
I would bet you have non cup shocks spacing at 54mm. Your car has the none cup silver wheels which is unusual as most, even if refurbed go darker. It's worth checking. As said. Shocks are cheap. Renault springs are not.
Options are non cup 182 front shocks or 172 cup front shocks...
Bit of sun and a few bits done.
Visited Blink once again to have it retracked after all the bushes etc where changed. Today was a handbrake cable swap as it was getting a little high. I knew one was wrong as it didn't sit in the proper channel in the fuel tank. Low and behold one had spacers...
Nice. My 182 is a Ti non cup. I thought about the spoiler and decided it was actually interesting to be different and kept the non cup spoiler. Although I have to admit mine came with its non cup silver wheels sprayed to look like darker cup ones. I have since swapped to trophy Turinis...
Not quite the same league. They are however numbers 3 and 4 when on the drive, after the work oil burner and the little ladies Fiesta.
I have had to hide no.3(182 Ti) in Stirling when the Trophy turned up in Haydock to keep the peace.
HI Marc,
Much like Andy said. As your car is lovely i would personally mainly store as is and like with your other major parts just keep them alongside for any future change.
Swap out the dash trim bits, cards and headlights as they are an easy quick sell on here. And I would suggest are more...
Cheers Andy, I hope your own rebuild is coming along. I would imagine you more than most can appreciate it's easy to get bogged down into the constant modding and never actually driving.
Yeah.. That's one reason I got out. An av amp can almost be out of date and therefore valueless by the time it was home. Nothing wrong with functionality still, just totally devalued.
2 minute search shows the top sale price for the amp was £52 inc speakers or a one with a DVD player.
So that's real more like £45 in your hand.
I will let you value your the rest of your kit yourself. As said 2nd home cinema stuff just plummets in value.
Best bet is to do eBay searches for each items and set the search to look for sold items only.
I used to be mega into the home cinema scene but have been out for years. Unfortunately I found as the turn over is now so fast in new kit the secondhand price is so terrible (except for speakers...

Going well after all the refresh. Nice and tight. Back in with Blink in a few weeks to re track as it's now out. Not surprising with all the bushes which have been changed. All feels nice and tight. Time to stop taking it too bits and use it as intended.
Next mods...
Lee's right and wrong.
The bolt spacing difference is the fronts.
There is cup and non cup rears but you can fit either. The purists will point that the non cup shock will be rate matched to non cup springs. if however you have gone stiffer aftermarket or have fitted cup rear springs you may...
You also potentially need to also get a new hub nuts and the spacer that goes behind. George stocks them all.
I use a torque wrench, especially with anything which makes you stop or steer. Others won't, you pay your money and take your chance on that one.
Those black discs will be silver after...
Trophy Turinis from renault et45
Off the shelf speedlines turinis are something slightly different.. I think 43.5et
Renault 172 cup ones I think are 38.5 et.
Only Renault supplied ones will have center bores to fit the renault center caps. Off the shelf ones will require speedline center caps...
No mate. 1 part connects under the base. The other cable connects on the right hand side of the boot. I just means that when you disconnect the boot part, you cannot just pull it all the way out in 1 go as there are a few "guide" clips it wont pass thru and has to be unclipped from. Its not...
Cheers @Akay
There are few threads on here which is all I read.
The main issue I found is
1. Bravery that your not about to snap the headlining when you have you hand in there with a socket. I though I had creased it but it did all actually bounce back.
2. There are more clips than you think...
So sunny weekend and she is back together. All subframe caged nuts and bolts replaced.
New clutch in
ARB and few other bits tidyied up. ARB and steering rack all fitted out with powerflex black bushes. And new wishbones of course.
Few bits got a red detail.
New elf gear box fluid and some...
Pleased it got to you ok Joe, enjoy the extra noise.
FYI. it looks like that they have rattle canned your centers with out removing or covering the renault badges. The renault badge is actually meant to be silver. It ight be the spray finsh has not stuck to the chrome effect of the badge.
Well lots going on but slow progress.
Decided to crack on with arb refurb/bushes/whisbones so deceided to drop the subframe. And what a pig it is too to do on the drive on your own. Still taking my time as I have the luxury of it being a toy rather than a commuter.
Decided to do the clutch...
