I think i have a very very old copy of autocar in my collection somewhere from 1991 - it was was when the valver was first released and they had a head to head feature with the Fiesta RS1800. Quite sought after i think - open to offers if anyone is interested!

And check out the top gear awards in the latest issue - golf is car of the year i think!

If your gonna be keeping standard i think the clio but if you want to modify (engine wise that is) I would go for the golf as all the VW Tuners are making some awsome packages for the golf - will be easy to get more power from as its turrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbbbbbbbbo!!

jus another question to add to this - do you have to change the abs rings too????

Yeah i heard a standard 182 giving it some welly yesteday - was impressed!! but i know what you mean about the cold weather - my valver is loving all the cold air!!!! shame i dont!!

I have a mongoose and de-cat - its loud and pops loads so not the best option for you! Its probably due to the tiny silencer it has on it!

Ihave a valver so my un-biased opion is the Turninis look much better - should have made them an option really - i would even go as far to say that the mk 1 oz wheels look better (but now i am being biased! lol!)

I have uprated speakers behind standard grills to keep the system stealth!

Different mags have different opinions of each car and get different lap times from all of them - its all down to personal choice and how much money you have!!

I just ordered some pads for my valver - but they didnt ask if i had Girling or bendix system? Should i be concerned that they may send the wrong ones? or do valvers all use the same system?

And mine does not work on any settings so its either the control panel, blower or this resistor thingy - just dont know which one!!!

According to haynes - you have to remove the scuttle panel, wipers and motor - the relay is attached to the blower housing with 2 screws.

some chave pulled one of mine off and broke all the clips - renaut didnt sell the correct clips seperatly - only sold them with the strip at £27! so i got some old clips and used super double sided sticky pads - no probs since!

Its the same size as the velver one i had - just looks better! IMO!

I bought a gear knob from ebay - bloke said it was from a williams - but i have been told that williams gear knobs have the blue bit on! this one is all black leather with the numbers indented in... maybe from a phase 2? only asking out of interest!!! looks much better than the one i ditched...
