172 cup wheels look better than 182 cup

  BMW 330d :)

Ive seen loads of 182 cups about with the anthracyte wheels and I dont think they have the visual impact of the 172 cups turinis. Am I the only one that thinks this? They look like silver wheels covered in brakedust and dont look as sporty either. Whats everyones opinions?

Must admit i hated them initially but they have grown on me, and i definately prefer them in anthracite. Turinis are nice too though.

I fully agree with you ~ those wheels are too "hard" looking for such a nice car both in silver or anthracite. They are similar to a friends new Mondeo wheels!

I think they are minging.

If only you lot saw the original options list for the choice of wheels when the 182 was comming out. they were lovely, and the wheels they put one.....the only ones i said are disgusting. Typical eh!

No offence to 182 owners, sorry............ergh.

The wheels on the 182 are the only thing i didnt like. Tho the antracite cup pack wheels look better than the std. silver ones, wish 172 cups style turinis had been an option on the 182.

Ihave a valver so my un-biased opion is the Turninis look much better - should have made them an option really - i would even go as far to say that the mk 1 oz wheels look better (but now i am being biased! lol!)

Turninis are much nicer!

They stand out so much more and you can instantly tell, yes thats a cup.

The new ones look like standard Renault alloys nothing special really!

The 182 wheels are much nicer than either the mk1 172 or mk2 172 and im liking them even more than the Cup wheels now.

i dont think the turinis are particuarly nice either lol.

But much nicer than the 182 wheels which belong on a C4.

when i saw the first pic of a 182 - i hated the wheels but have grown to like them now. i do still like the turinis but really like the anthracite 182 wheels now.

With the turinis you cant go too wrong as multil-spoke style alloys suite most cars anyway.

I dont think much of the 182 wheels though, just looked a bit fussy and personally didnt think they enhanced the look of the car over the old 172 wheels!!!!

All opinion though, I changed the wheels on my 172 anyway! lol

As Alex says you cant go wrong with the Turinis..classic style. Sometimes i like the 182 wheels, sometimes not. They definetly arent sporty looking, which they should be.

you might have an issue if your 182 is cup packd the track is wider on 182 cup packd cars and 172 cups used different offset to get a wider track so you will end up with a super wide 182 if you fit the cup turinis. If you lower it you may have issues with arches getting rubbed and even if you dont i couldnt say how it would handle with the wider track from the cup rims

Wouldnt that reduce the track a little as it was the wheels that increased it on the Cup wasnt it?
