So after a lorry decided to give me a nudge onto a roundabout, and then failed to stop, I'm left with a dented bootlid that won't open.
If its just the boottlid that's dented, is it easy, or even possible to replace it?
Cheers
Come to think of it, im not sure. Its always comming towards me so I have never checked out the exhaust. Ill try and grab the numberplate next time I see him.
Anyone know who this guy is? Seeing him pretty much every morning now somewhere between Earlstoke and Bratton?
If he's not on clio sport, with a 172 with grey diamonds and lowered on grey 1.2's or Turinis, he should be! Lol.
Taking the light cluster out, cleaning the connections on both the wire and the cluster, WD40-ing it and putting it back together worked..... for about 2 weeks.
Its now doing it again, so Im going to try the other things in here like cleaning the earthing points and taking the connectors apart...
Second time I've seen you on that same bit of road. Didn't catch the number plate, but looks lowered and has one of the custom 2 piece tow eyes in the front grill. Ill wave next time :)
Yep ronin, that's me. Its a 172 with 182 style exhaust. Yeah I work in IT. I was the guy walking accross the crossing bit in the car park this morning as you drove in. Certainly looked cleaner than mine! But then mine is filthy atm. And yes, I'm always parked out the back, atleast over the...
As the title days, I have a random issue.
When I apply the brakes, the little fog light indicator light on the left of the dash lights up. Its not bright, its just a faint orange glow coming from it. If I jab the brakes it flashes, and if I ride the brakes at the right point it stays on, but...
Hey
Does anyone know what screws are needed to hold on the plastic under tray under the engine? When I had my car jacked up the other day I noticed im missing one so the tray is being bend down by the wind.
Cheers
...do you fit in a Clio with a helmet on?
Its just struck me today, that after taking the spacers out my seat and getting a tiny bit lower, theres still probubly only a couple of inches clearance above my head...
:S
Seen as I only have the money for a single set, and if I get more serious about track days ill buy a second set of wheels, I think ill get a set of Toyos and go from there.
Lost a wheel! Thats fairly extreme! lol.
Yeah, My car needs some new tyres anyway, so its that, maybe some new brake pads on the front, and then a trip to Castle Combe :)
Yeah, I keep looking out for the white wheeled monster (although your selling those wheels arent you?). I dont spend much time in Westbury though.
I think the potential for sinking money into an old 172 to make it road worthy is putting me off. There are things I need to do to my Ph2, but...
Cheers Chrispy.
Trouble is, to free up the cash to change a number things like suspension and wheels and seats and steering wheel etc would mean selling the Ph2 for a Ph1. Keeping my Ph2 would mean cutting back on the mods. The decision between those 2 options is what spurred this thread in...
Hi
Having been convinced to keep my 172 and track it for some fun every now and again I need to get the tyres replaced. PE2's are apparently good, but for 16" wheels are just to expensive. Toyo T1R's seem to get a lot of love on here, but I've seen people say they suffer a lot on a track...
In not worried about wear, thats part and parcel, im just worried about the cost as I already do 75 miles a day in my Clio.
Dont wanna stick a brand new set of 16" on it and then half their life in an evening. But if I do, whats a good tyre for mainly road use that isnt going to die in a...
This is a plan soon yes. I live near Castle Combe so cant complain I dont have a decent track near by (unless I end up moving).
However, munching a set of 16" tyres is twice as expensive as 15" ones.
Grrr, chicken, egg, cart, horse, etc etc!
