Sorry yeah, feels much more comfortable and I didn't even need to bend it towards me, its now little finger to thumb hand span away from the wheel which is perfect for me.
Right so fitted this over the weekend, pretty simple to do really. Ash tray out, gear gator up over the gear stick, gear surround off, remove heat shield clips under the car and unclamp the cat (decat in my case) joined to the cat-back and pull down slightly, undo the 4 nuts holding the surround...
Not in my case, even with the bolts out and beam and hub hanging down freely there was no chance they where going in without a bit of pressure on the beam/hub.
Have fun getting those rears in with both rubbers on, I had to get the missus to stand on the rear beam/hub to get them in and that was even a struggle.
Good build.
Just been looking at these, there's a really nice one on the trader at the minute for less than £3k. Would make such a good track car, I'd even drive it as a daily.
Finally fitted mine, coupled with new OE dampers. Just took it for a blast and they feel fine, not crashy at all and feels much flatter in the bends. Good drop as well. Before and after below, albeit the before isn't side on but you can see the gap difference, they'll drop further as well over...
First things first call the garage and tell them to leave the car alone and do nothing further. Next do some ringing around the local area for quotes to have it looked at stating it could be the driveshafts or worst case gearbox and how much to diagnos each scenario and labour costs to fix...
Agree with this but in my experience if new discs and pads have not been through a few heat cycles as above they will fade very, very easily. My Brembo OE's where shocking when new without a few heat cycles and i mean shocking if trying to stop from higher speeds in a hurry thats on both the...
Yeah mate, and in all honesty they are nowhere near worth 6 times the price of the premiers in terms of performance, the CL5+ are better don't get me wrong but not 6 times better. Thing with OE pads they wont last a full day of track driving if you are a heavy on the brakes due to the softer...
Yep they where great for me at Aintree, really impressed with them and are currently my back up to CL5+

Presume you mean Brembo OE pads, took me 3 heat cycles before they bedded in for me on the CS. A heat cycle consists of getting them nice and hot to the point where they are just about smoking then letting them fully cool. Once I had done this they where fine but a word of warning if planning...
Yeah I'll get the fitter in work to do it in our hydraulic press, 45 degree(ish)? Also do you reckon this will tighten things up a little?

No offence buddy just seems expensive for a car on 120k miles, the mods and work carried out don't really add as much value as you'd think. Better of taking the mods of and putting it back to standard, you may get what you're after then.
Good luck.
Looks good, just every Vauxhall I've ever driven the steering is far to light with no feedback what so ever. Saying that never driven a VXR, how does it drive?
